  1. These are heavily enhanced though aren't they? I know carbon black looks very dark blue in some lights but I've never seen it look like that. Looks like saturation has been whacked up full on them. Not knocking the pics at all just curious.

  2. been searching for while now but none seem to be turning up for the right price which i can swap for the clio (on finance) so can only go for trade sales :( only have a budget of £6k and that one looked like it has had a good life,

Just be patient mate, they will come up and people on here have got some right bargains. It is worth holding out for the right one and as I say you will easily get a GT for that so its worth waiting unless you find an absolutely mint, low mileage non GT.

  3. I get 24-28 in my religiously but use mostly a-roads and motorways.

I think saying you can easily get 32mpg on longer whilst its not untrue from my experience you have to really try to get it into the 30's and any stab of the throttle soon gets you back in to the 20's.

I've had 2 ep3's and to be honest there wont be much in it, the Type R will be better overall but it will be fairly minimal when you work out the extra fuel cost.

They aren't too hideous on fuel but they have a big tank so its pretty depressing filling up near £100 each week.

  4. I had a 120d m sport before my Zed. Remapped at 210bhp and it was surprisingly fast. In some situations it could easily stick with the Zed.

RWD means its still has that element of fun about it. I could not get below 42mpg no matter how hard I drove it. Just make sure you go for a 2007 onwards as they are much more efficient.

  5. Sorry, but I would never, ever, be guided by road testers who might get 5 minutes a whole host of different car types rather than specialist/performance models, hence why Autocar has rarely taken my money.

I find autocar excellent, so you dont read reviews on cars you are looking at buying? Dont get me wrong I would never buy a car on someone else's alone, view which I why I find it funny when I read the constant "what car should I buy?" posts.

Steve Sutcliffe and Chris Harris are two motoring journalists I have a lot of respect for. Not so much on the Vicky Parrot

  6. The suspension was revised to suit U.K roads. Never driven them back to back but the motoring press say it was a big improvement.

Cobblers. I was given one to try in comparison to mine and and it felt little different. Get more "improvement" from simply changing tyres to MPSS from the feed back on here.

Do you know that Vicky Parrot actually drove the 'new improved' 370z and even if she did has she driven the 'old' 370z...

I think if I was in the market I would take Colin's opinion over any generic car review on the net

If he says cobblers then I say cobblers with knobs on :p

I'm merely backing up what I said I'd read, I've seen a few reviews that say the same thing as I was looking at buying one.

I'm not knocking Colin's opinion in the slightest.

  7. Are you just putting the front bumper without the rest of the kit? The front is bad enough on its own but at least with the full kit it sort of looks in keeping.
