  1. I have for sale an original Tommy Kaira Z badge. It was previously fitted to my car but is in superb condition, it will need some double sided tape to re-affix the emblem to your car. Looking for around £40 delivered.

  2. I've been asked by the sxoc and skyline club to let everyone know about a Nissan meet coming up at the end of March with dates being either 21st or 28th. The plans at the minute are either a rolling road day, a meet or lastly a combination of both. I will post details up when they are confirmed.

I found the interior to be sturdy and well put together but unfortunately it looks and feels very cheap, even by jap standards it seems cheap but the gt pack gives it a bit more luxury and the parts can be trimmed. I suppose it depends on what you want from a car but I've just sold mine and tbh the interior was a big reason for me changing.

  4. Hi guys, after a lot of thought I've decided to change from the Z so I'll not be continuing as event organiser for NI. Would anyone else be interested in the position? There seems to be a good few members over here and the last meet was well supported so it would be nice to get someone in asap to organise some events with summer approaching, if anyone is interested then give martinmac a shout and he'll sort things for you. I'd just like to finish with a huge thankyou to anyone who helped me along the way and to everyone who turned out with their Zs.

  5. I see nothing wrong with loaning money, i'm sure a large % of the population have loans and nearly everyone has a mortgage. The only thing I would say is with taking a loan over a longer period you need to be sure that you want to keep the z over that period.

  6. I'd say the gti would be quite close to the z standard never mind one that could be tuned a bit. The one big downside to the z is that you can't get decent gains for decent money so therefore "lesser" cars will easily sit with/beat the z once tuned. I work with a guy who has a mk4 anniversary diesel and after spending about a grand on the car it easily beats the z.

    Any FI car is very easy to get gains from. Turn up the boost and sort the air flow (intake/exhaust) and thats all you need to do, especially with VAG cars as they are bomb proof. Give me an example of an NA car that easily get gains ;)

     

    Oh definately you're 100% spot on, the new M3 had to go to a V8 due to the fact that they couldn't get the power out of the V6. It's just a bit annoying when you get whipped by a diesel golf.

  8. Cheers for all the comments guys, don't know if they've helped or not lol. I definately wouldn't go for the 1 series as they really don't do it for me. The only one that is tempting me atm is an autovogue 335d, like I said previous a mapped 335d absolutely destroys the Z performance wise and that is really tempting. The Z isn't exactly a slouch but it's really not that quick either and to really alter performance you have to go FI and I couldn't justify the costs. I've decided to give it a couple of months and see how I feel then, if I keep the Z I think i will freshen it up a bit.

  9. I'd says looks is the only thing currently making me want to keep the z but admittedly is probably one of my biggest factors in a car so I really don't know what to do. I quite like the autovogue 335d coupes and think that looks wise they're up near the z.

  10. I'm starting to think it's time to change. I love the z and it was my realistic dream car when I bought it but lately I'm getting a bit fed up with it. I had a run in a remapped 335d coupe and all I can say is WOW! The thing absolutely flies compared to the z, is under half the price for a years tax, is a nicer environment to be in, gets well over 30mpg even when pushed and is probably more practical. The big problem is I'd hate to get rid of the z and end up regretting it, anyone else had this dilemma?

  11. Tbh buddy i'd go for a t350 as well, I know a couple of guys with them and they have only had minor problems whereas guys I know with older models have had major problems. Imo another car which is readily available is a must.

  12. I wouldn't buy one but they are a decent enough wee motor. I'd get a good long test drive in one before you buy because they're not really that much more practical than the z. What about a focus st or a golf gti/r32?
