Woohoo I didn't bend it & SMD didn't wet the seat

What a buy Adrian, after seeing & driving your car earlier I have to retract my previous views on the GTR. That is one awesome car, the only criticism I have is that it covers its speed a little to well (hope you have some room on your license)

Well done mate, I know how relentlessly hard you work with your businesses, you deserve it :teeth:

    So does anyone want to buy a 240z & 987 boxster S?????

  3. Try a cup of camomile tea, seriously, it will help you calm down a bit, then we can open a thread about Tesla, a lot of guys in here are very keen to get one, with some very envious!

    You are a laugh.

Anything to show off your sig. Good advertising that.

I can see you are trying hard as your time is limited. Tesla is the future.

I am being a prick now just thought I would wind you up a bit.

hahaha why would you even say that? if he wanted to show off his sig I think he would post up a new Torqen product :headbang: & if you think you are winding him up, your probably winding yourself up as no doubt he is laughing at how much of a foolish post you have just made

  4. I am not the police or any authority but I do find driving like this on a pubic road unacceptable.

What does my post count matter? That just means I reply to the threads I feel I want to. Not every thread that may provoke a sale.

It comes with age and experience to see w@nker driving when I see it. Especially when it is described in such detail.

You are fighting the wrong war. Try explaining to a parent that their child has been killed due to some knob in a fast car.

I do expect to be banned for this but.

"you and many others on here are just immature boy racers with no conscience"

And as for selling the Z to the OP I would rather crush it into a cube..

    Bring on the Tesla.

Dont bother correcting my spelling / grammar etc. I am dyslexic.

Wow this didn't take long to escalate, The OP has admitted a number of wrong doings that have probably been the cause of his unfortunate accident, poor driving standard, lack of experience & bad car setup. But to be fair he is being a brave guy & sharing his c*** up publicly,

This is supposed to be a forum for like minded enthusiasts, where we help each other out with both good & bad experiences with the cars were enthusiastic about. Are you PC Power? & it's 'BOI Racers innit bruv'. Maybe you should skip the tesla forums & join the prius ones ;)

  5. Pins in the pistons to stop the rings rotating like a two stroke..... that`s interesting.

Wonder if they have anything to do with the scoring of the bores ?.. just a thought.

That is a very good point! but surely the pins would make one score if in contact with the bore as the piston can't rotate on the con-rod. From what I have read the bore scoring is caused by the pistons become oval shaped as a result of heat. The piston skirt is seems very short though

  6. To be quite honest I'd say don't buy it!!! That's only because you're my brother so I won't be able to make a good margin on it and I need the pennies for the GT-R :(

Looking at similar models (Cayman S 2006, 55k to 85k miles) with no engine rebuilt (so chances to have bore scoring are as big as they were on my car) you can see them going from £15k upwards :(

    and so on.

Hard to put a price on mine, what do you guys think it will be a fair price, considering the brand new engine and 1 year warranty which is usually worth about £1k?

He's your brother, you have to GIVE it to him!! :stir:

Well I did propose a good deal to hime yesterday, we could just swap,

  7. So I'm now torn, I have the 987 Boxster S which imo is a great car but after spending a few hours in a Cayman S last night I'm trying to justify why I shouldn't upgrade to Adrians car

    2015-08-16_16-37-15.jpeg

The Cayman is dynamically better than the Boxster but not by much & has a bit more poke, so do I or don't I buy your car Adrian???

  8. I'm not modding the GTR .... ha ha ha ha ha :p

We all knew this would be the case though. I'd be more surprised if Adrian didn't change something tbh. :D;)

He hasn't even bought a car yet

  9. Hmm interesting

You say the 2012 model has some sort of cooler already?

2012 onwards yeah — it has some kind of heat exchange between oil and coolant. It was made standard from 2012. I understand that isn't any good for tracking the car, but for enthusiastic driving its fine.

This oil/water cooler is standard on all uk 350 & 370's

  10. Right I'm going to have my 2p, I bought a 987 Boxster S a couple of months ago as my daily, Although I'm a huge fan of the Z car, the porsche I a far better drivers car, feel, grip, balance, handling. The power is good to, my 3.2s level pegs in straight line performance to a 350zHR & on track leaves the 350's sucking on v-power vapour.

The only downsides against a zed car is that the 987 doesn't drift like a zed.

  11. Screw the purists Darren  . . those seats look the business B)

Now you just need to get rid of the cream leatherette tablecloth draped over the centre console and the door cards :stir: . . .

Ahahaha I have plans for the door cards :ninja: but no rush, went out for a little drive this evening & the seats have transformed the experience, no longer having to hold myself in place with the steering wheel & my knees whilst cornering :drive1

  12. Not been any updates for a while as I've been out enjoying the car, North Wales, Lake District & Donnington so certainly done a few miles in the car now. Loved every one of them

Managed to get a few hours on the cars today, what else can you do on a rainy Sunday. Went & collected these beauties

    2015-07-26_19-54-55.jpeg

    2015-07-26_19-56-20.jpeg

I had some plans for the original seats in the car

    2015-07-26_19-57-05.jpeg

Got the new seats swapped over in the porker

    2015-07-26_19-58-02.jpeg

Then I took these, used the wiring diagram I have to pin out the electric operation, made a loom

    2015-07-26_19-58-49.jpeg

Then cut up some steel & fitted to the 240's existing seat fixings

    2015-07-26_20-00-32.jpeg

    2015-07-26_20-01-48.jpeg

Then fitted them in the 240z :teeth:

    2015-07-26_20-02-59.jpeg

    2015-07-26_20-03-41.jpeg

    2015-07-26_20-04-09.jpeg

I know the purists will hate these, but comfort & support out weighs the originals, which I can swap back in about 30mins,

So now the 240z has bluetooth hands free & electric seats

As it was still raining I decided to sort out my centre gauges, so removed the centre (ammeter/fuel) & the clock, stripped them both down & installed a voltmeter from a 260z in place of the ammeter & the clock with a working one,

  13. Personally I reckon your heat/det issues are due to the poor design of the stillen kit, the maf's are reading intake temps before the charger & water/air intercooler, so the ecu cannot compensate for fluctuations in intake temps, I'd be spending my money having a couple of temp sensors made to thread into the intake manifold after the cooler matrix.

This is what mine has had done at h-dev ..... Just waiting on uprev to sort the tables to be able to map it in .

Major floor in the stillen design if you ask me :(

Will be interested to see the results, I'm sure it will end up in a better, smoother tune. How many temp sensors do you have & where have they been positioned? are they just taken from the maf loom?

Trouble is Stillen made the kit to a cent, supplying additional temp sensors would have cost them more money. It's as if they spent all their time designing the intake manifold & pipe, then just didn't bother on the rest of it.
