  1. Woohoo, car is with the dealer and I pick it up on Friday, can't wait! :yahoo:

Nice one bud, make sure you make a new thread with LOADS OF PICS :teeth:

Yes, I'll post up lots of pics. One thing, whats the best way to know that the car has the latest Nav in it? Is it as simple as it being touch screen?

  2. Silver is one of them colours you just don't get as much satisfaction out of cleaning, you won't see much of a difference in paint work reflection....

When i had silver Autoglym did the trick for me, apply with pad and wipe off with micro-fibre cloth... :)

Yeh, Silver is a pain like that. Doesn't look dirty but never looks as glossy as other colours. I just make do with the satisfaction of waxing the car and when it rains drive it up the road and about 1 minute later all the water has rolled off and it's still clean :)

  3. I've always used Megs Gold Class Shampoo followed by clay (only every 6 months), Autoglym Super Resin Polish and finally Collinite 476s wax (can't beat this stuff for beading month after month!). This is on a Twilight grey 350 and light silver Focus. Very happy with the finish on both and will stick with the same routine for my Storm White 370.

  4. Also, what effect (if any) does changing the exhaust have on the cars warranty?

Bit of a grey area, it will void your warrenty on any bits that it effects, which in reality isnt a lot. Any decent dealer should be happy with it TBH, but they could try and use it as a get out clause if something goes wrong, as most will wrongly try and deny any warranty claim because of it. A quick bit of shouting and you'd be ok though :)

Yah, feel a bit better now. Also googled and found the following and it looks like it would be illegal (breaking EU law "'Block Exemption Regulations 1400/2002'") for Nissan to refuse warranty work as long as the exhaust being used is of equal quality to the stock one.

  5. Ebized, if you don't mind me asking, how much did Stillen charge you for shipping? They quoted $450 to the UK which sounds very steap to me! :)

It is a bloody big box and about 35kg if you are after the exhaust ;)

Yeh, that explains the shipping costs then! :) Is Stillen pretty much the preferred choice for the 370's at the moment?

  6. Hi Guys,

Congrats! Mine is due mid-March :)

  7. Many thanks for checking on that for me Chris. I have just brought myself a MY2010 370Z GT with Premium Connect Nav in Storm Pearl White :) I actually got it from a more local dealer and am very happy with the deal ;) The deal was basically my current car and £15600 OTR. They expect it to be with them early March with collection on 15th March :) Can't wait! Pics when I get it :teeth:

  8. smartmove: Have spoken to WLMG@Slough today and they have confirmed that the MY2010 order codes are live, and dependant on spec, deliveries can be as quick as 4-6 weeks if theres already one the right spec being shipped. If you let me know the spec/colour you are after, they have said they will run it through the computer and can give you an exact lead time

Nice one Chris, thanks! I am after a Storm White GT, must be MY2010 so it has latest satnav etc..

I am hoping work will be quiet tomorrow so I can take my 350z to a couple of local Nissan dealers to get an idea on px value.

  9. Been conversing with a Nissan dealer on email and he told me that they currently cannot order 2010MY cars as they're not showing the order book open for them yet. He just so happened to have a "nearly new" in that he was keen to try and sell me. Is this just the dealer being a little loose with the truth to try and sell a car he has sitting on his forecourt?

  10. Thanks for the reply Ebized, I think I'll try the wrap first and see how I go. There has been some reports that the carbon cover can scratch the paint which obviously isn't ideal when I come to sell and perhaps want to remove the cover to make it stock. Is the wrap stuff the 3M product that is sold on ebay?
