Yes, I have the EVO-R Carbon fang cover already, just need some decent weather to get it stuck on As for the exhaust note, it's definetely quiter in the cabin than my 350 but not quite as bad as I thought it would be. I think I'll casually keep an eye out for a new system

Well the 350 design is about 10 years old now, will the 370 look so good in 10 years? I'm not sure with those dodgy lights and fangs...........

PS. Just to ruffle a few feathers but I couldn't help noticing how "old" my 350 looked parked near the 370, I hadn't seen the 2 cars alongside each other in the flesh before, only on the internet. I still love my 350 but am definetely making the right move

I have to admit for a fraction of a second today when I had been on the phone to Aviva for about an hour I considered forgetting the whole car buying thing! Soon snapped out of that idea though

Yes, I'll give them a try as soon as my policy becomes due (only a month or so to go). I only tried Aviva for the 7 day thing as they email the dealer directly the cover note so they can tax the vehicle. If the cover note from my current insurer doesn't get to them on Friday then they can't tax it and I can't pick it up

Just spent most of the afternoon trying to get the Aviva free 7 day insurance thing sorted with there Indian call-centre but they really are the most useless bunch of idiots I have had to deal with. Long story short they will not insure the car as they cannot be competitive on an annual quotation so dont want to give me 7 days free. Got my own insurance company direct line sending through the docs to the dealer but as thats by post its not a sure thing that it will arrive with them by Friday so may have to get the car on Monday instead

One thing is for sure I will never be trying to use Aviva for any insurance products again.

Woo! The dealer just called and the car has now arrived! The issue was indeed locking wheel nuts (or lack of) but all has now been sorted and it will be ready for me to pick up on Friday afternoon

I'm testing a second hand Cayman S on Monday, I should think if I like it I will get it.

 

Otherwise I will go to Slough, I would rather travel a bit and have a good dealer!

Yeh, the Cayman S is a nice solid car but to me just doesn't look as special as the 370z and is certainly a lot more common. I did consider one though and they drive beautifully!

Yeh, my local Nissan dealer Gly Hopkin, MK have always been very helpful, no complaints at all.

If its your daily driver and you like refined but a nice purr when you give it some beans then I'd hang on for the Milltek - its meant to be coming soon

Sounds exactly like the type of thing I'm looking for. I'm in no rush and will stick with stock till I get a few more options or a deal i cannot refuse comes up.

With the Scorpion system for a CB system it's about £800, for a half-system £600. Am I right in saying the only difference being is 2 pipes going from the centre section to the cats? Why does 2 pipes add £200 or am I missing something? (I have never changed exhausts before as you may have guessed!)

Ok so I am in a dilema, I know that I am going to have to change the stick exhaust system when my car arrives but I cannot make my mind up on which system. The Stillen is considerably more expensive than the Berk (which I can get from Envy) due to the shipping, import duty etc.. The Scorpion is the cheapest of the lot but haven't heard much about it. The car is a daily driver so I want to get something like I am used to with my current 350z (which has stock exhaust) and not something that is going to give me a headache or generally annoy people whenever I drive it. Opinions?

Quite a few on Autotrader for sale so why not just go to the dealer for a test drive in one of those? Either that or just buy it without ever having driven one (I did exactly that but do like my Z's!)

The recall is for new wheel nuts. Apparently Nissan have changed the nuts on the 2010 model and my car is held at the Nissan import centre while these new type nuts arrive. The dealer has said that Nissan sales are happy to call me to confirm so I am happy this is legit and not an excuse.

I've email them this evening asking for specific details on the recall as my imagination is now running wild. I have nasty images of my "brand new" car in the bodyshop or something even worse!

The dealer finally got the news from Nissan UK that the car was involved in a recall (didn't say what for) and it would be delayed. They are now expecting delivery to the dealer towards the end of next week They did throw in a free first service for the inconvenience though

Anyone know what this recall may be about?

Hmm, I might give this some consideration, alot cheaper than importing a Stillen, I just wonder how they compare?

Hmm, turns out the car was NOT with the dealer but was on it's way but is yet to arrive (how can you lose a car?!). I am now waiting for a call to confirm it's arrival later today apparently
