Deal is done and I now own a Porsche Cayman S Sport in orange!
-
Go the whole hog and get an S Sport. If I had to chose my "next car" now, this would be it. Yours for £36k.
Yeh, the Sports look nice but they're prior to the 2009 facelift. I want the facelift model as not only does it have the new front and rear (only subtle changes) but it has the PCM3 nav etc.. inside which is a big step up. Looking for a white, silver or grey Cayman S in 2009 with PASM, Chrono etc... and also the new DFI 3.4 engine which improves bhp by about 25 horses.
Keep us posted. Many reports of the Cayman being a better/quicker/safer drive than the 911.
I like the sport because of the colours! Tango orange, froggy green or white with stripes says Porsche to me. I'm soo 1970s.
Oh no! Guess what I am viewing tomorrow?! Yep, "tango" orange Sport

I saw this in the flesh Monday Evening coming out of Asda.!
Doh! My cover is blown!

Great.....did you need to remove the bumper to fit it? Says on the website that it screws from insidethe bumper?:
No, the rear CF thing screws to bumper. The front one (that I have) is just double sided pads. It's such a close fight I don't think any chance of it dropping off with just the pads.
Anyway, back to the sale!

Love the look with the CF fang cover.
Looks like a really nice fit. Where did you source that from?
I got it shipped from Evo-R in the US. It couldn't have been a better fit if they tried, absolutely perfect. I would definetely recommend it!

The PH advert price is cheaper, is that correct?
Price corrected

been offered an unregistered Rose Black/Grey leather fully loaded at my dealers for £27499 most dealers cannot move stock so doing deals to shift them I think it's not a good time to sell it unless you want to drop it some more.
Yes, there is definetley some deals to be had from dealers but even still they're still a few k away from the price of mine and it's basically as new. Had a few calls over the weekend so will hopefully have someone view it this week. I am confident it will sell when someone actually see's it.

Man thats a lovely motor, if I had the money I'd be there in a flash. Good luck with the sale.
Will definetely miss it. There hasn't actually been much interest in it so far, it's the cheapest 2010MY on all the major listings so finding it rather puzzling

More pics have been uploaded to the PH advert

Will be sad to see her go so soon but who knows, I may be back into the Z fold at some point

**CAR NOW SOLD**
-
I've put my car up for sale. Let me know if you know of anyone after a "as new" condition 2010 Z, not going to give it away though!
-
Just think of the servicing costs and replacement parts for the Porsche.
I've looked into the servicing pricing and it's not so ridiculous for the Cayman and I will buy one with a couple of years warranty left. I am even keener on the idea today than I was yesterday. Having owned a few Z's now I'll definetely miss it but a change is always a good thing I'll probably keep the Z until April next year (so I've had it a year) and then see what it's worth. I'll then consider purchasing a 2009/2010 Cayman S (can't really justify purchasing a brand new one).

The Cayman is lovely handling car but just a little common and to me is a poor man's 911 (I think I'll run for cover now!).... just joking
Hmm. Today my mate came over with his brand spanking new 2010 Porsche Cayman S in "seal" grey. I had a drive and now I thoroughly regret my comment months back regarding the Cayman, it was fantastic! It felt like it was on rails, steering was so smooth and perfect and that engine noise is amazing! I still love my 370z but I now have these horrible ideas floating round my head about trading/selling her in the next few months and getting myself a Cayman S!

I managed to touch in the chips but it's by no means 100%. I think I am going to just bit the bullet and get the wheels re-done in anthracite
-
That's not good. I am with Privilege at the moment and was about to replace the exhaust. Looks like I'll now wait for my policy to come up for renewal and then move on.
-
The nav in my 2010 model is fantastic, it's the first "built-in" sat nav system I have actually used regularly as it works just as well as my little TomTom unit.
-
Mine works perfectly well

I have somehow managed to get a scratch on one of my wheels (not even on the rim so wasn't a kerb) and need to get a good match silver paint to touch it in. Anyone know what the best match silver is for the standard 19" Z alloys? Thanks in advance.

I went to West Way Oxford today and brought a Qashqai for my girlfriend but I had never seen so many 370's and GTR's in 1 place! The place was littered with them! Being a High Performance Centre they also had a couple of very knowledgeable staff there who seemed pretty clued up on the 370. Definetely one dealer that's worth checking out if you're looking for a 370!

Good info here. Just to confirm, can the 2010 updated sat nav allow ipod/iphone integration where you can change tracks on the sat nav screen?
Yes, it's a full integration, all on screen.
Is the 370Z an improvement over the 350Z?
