  1. Cheers guys, I was completely shocked when he told me. Its so difficult knowing what to say to people when they tell you news like that. Hopefully he will get sorted though and can put all this behind him :)

Maccaman, I think you'd better stop buying sandwiches for lunch!!!

  2. Thats fantastic news - now get yourself over to xscape next Sunday to celebrate and let us all drool over your car again!

Im gunna try Nic, but Im back to sea on the Monday, so not sure at the moment.

Excellent news and well done on the job!!! Hope you can make it on sunday

  3. i think it would be quite funny, everybody thought it was hilarious when my wife joined, i'd love to see what your better half has to say when she sees that pic you posted of her flattening zedrush

i think i would need to check on ebay for some tarmac testie's ear rings

Stop stealing my ideas biscuit - i want to have fun with Mrs Tarmac first!

    Easy now... LOL

  4. Just been talking to a bloke I used to work with and it turns out he's suffering from kidney failure and is on dialasis (sp) every week. All down to the fact he had flu in his early 20s. He's waiting for a transplant ASAP. Am in complete shock :(

  5. By definition that was not racism though! It wasn't poking fun at blacks, it was poking fun at the Jackson 5!

If it had been a generalised act making blacks out to be inferior, then yes it would have been racist - check out the definition of racism for yourselves!

Is it wrong to say the Jackson 5 were black (well maybe there was some doubt about Michael towards the end lol)? If thats the case I give up on society ffs....

  6. Just to clear this up for any future searches on this subject - the 2.5k rpm limit is a standard Nissan failsafe if the ECU detects an error or out of range value from the MAF sensor. It then ignores the MAF signal and does its best to calculate load from the TPS value but restricts RPM to protect the engine.

Be carefull getting water on your MAF - they don't like it too much...

  7. as far as i'm aware, alex is already twin turbo'd ;)

    Ok...

Next question (Please dont mock) :D But is this a turbo per cylider bank or a sequential set up.

And... if its 1 per bank how do they balance out the amount of boost, so its equal for both sides.

I know its complicated, just asking the question made my head hurt...

Its a true twin setup, not sequential. Boost balance is achieved through a 2-1 Intercooler and carefull setup of the wastegate actuator pre-tension :)

  8. Indeed - erm Boss got a bit of a problem - you know that corsa delivery this morning well are we Insured! :headhurt::lol:

Suppose if they get crushed now - the washing machines that will be made from them wont rust for at least 18 months after production!:p

Yeah but if they end up as washing machines they're still destined for a lifetime of abuse by women...:surrender::dummy:

  9. The above usually works for consumer PCs where OEMs set the Administrator password to nothing (ie leave it blank). If thats the case you can do the above. but if its a company machine and been set up right, the Administrator password will likely be set. You can do this in non-safe mode but I forget how you select it with the Playskool GUI. I think Ctrl-Alt-Del at login

    Almost ;)

Ctrl-Alt-Del twice at the logon screen :)

    Cheers,

    Andy

  10. You can't beat the BTCC for wheel to wheel action (most of the time lol). Used to go to just about all the races but started to lose interest when they dropped the super touring class. Went to Snetterton in August and got the bug back so will be making time for some races next year! Could do some form of club meets???

Oh and congrats to Colin - didn't come easy but perseverence pays off!

  11. Drop the windows before disconnecting the battery I think.

Do a quick search and I'm sure you'll find info that'll help.

Yup with the battery disconnected the auto drop doesn't work when you open the doors ;) Make sure you don't leave the keys in the car when you do it just incase the car has total closure and locks you out

  12. Top be honest once a car battery has gone flat that badly you need to replace it. It may last a few more months once charged but it WILL give up on you again soon - especially now the days are shorted/colder and you're driving around with headlights/heater/rear demister etc running most of the time...

5 years is pretty good life for a car battery so don't be too disappointed :)
