  1. Phew!!!! - i always worked on the assumption that km/ltr x 2.3 gave you miles per gallon - but have just realised that thats for US gallons!

So Im getting better economy than i thought - but I'm still only averaging 17 mpg

  2. You mean theres another blue one!

No i dont think i was around david lloyd but mine is a 54 azure, is yours a 54 reg gunmetal one?

mines an 02 GM - 6th Zed ever made!

The blue one I saw I actually gave the owner a flyer to join the site

  3. Well Heeello Mr SunGod!

Nice to see a fellow zed boy from maidstone! Like i say mate im open to offers.... :p

I've only seen 2 other zeds in Maidstone, ones sunset (Mangravet area) the other blue (at David Lloyd leisure centre) - one of those you?

  4. You guys probably get this question every year but here goes anyway.

I have an opportunity of getting a new 350Z as a company car on an 18 month lease when my current one expires in July.

When do Nissan normally upgrade the 350Z ?

Does anybody know what changes will be made for MY08 ?

I didn't want to order a car then find it was going to be upgraded in a shortwhile so if anybody can give me a heads up I can delay my car change if necessary.

    Thanks

    P.S Looks ace in white

Expect a massive company car tax bill! - I bought mine and took a car allowance instead!

  5. Did someone perhaps accidentally hit the centre of the air-cond button and hold it on for a mo?? If so, this will cause the air-cond to switch automatically between "fresh" and "recirc", so that would make a difference to the cabin temperature slightly. Have a look in your owners manual. ;):)

Nope - it was on recirc and there was no window open either - this wasnt a 'one off' - it now is the 'norm' rather than an exception

  6. It is climate control so it will try and keep the cabin a constant temperature and blast air at different temperatures to keep it that way.

I would be more worried about letting Kosovans clean your car!! :scare:

I understand the concept of climate control - but there is a definate change when the car is stationary (to cold air) and when it is in motion (hot air)

  7. Hi guys - I have had my JDM (02 plate) for about 6 months now, and hadnt noticed a potential issue until the onset of the cold weather.

Whilst having a swarm of Kosovans very efficiently detail the exterior of my car, I left the engine running and noticed that although the climate control was set to auto and approx 25degrees, cold air started coming out the floor vents. As soon as I drove off it turned warm then hot. Then after approx 3 miles I got stuck in traffic (standstill) and the air went cold again !

Surely the heater isnt directly linked to the drive chain so that the car has to be in motion to get warm air???? - this must be a fault - Any ideas?

    Dave

  8. you wont get a uk for 12.5k..................

but you will get a crappy jdm that has been crashed for that money.........

I resent that! - I payed 11k for my 02 model (JDM) and there is nothing wrong with it at all! As far as insurance goes, yes I pay £1000/year but thats cos I have no no-claims; with full no claims bonus you should get a lot cheaper

  9. I have had my zed for 6 months now - its an 02 import with approx 36k on clock. When a friend drove it the other day he commented on how high the clutch bite is; I hadnt really thought anything of it before but he is right - the bite is on the last 5% of the pedal. Is this common with zed's or an early sign that my clutch is on its way out? Is the clutch self adjusting or can it be done manually?

  10. Oh yeah, that was me!!! Sorry mate

ps Iv also now discovered I get about 10 to 20 less miles from a full tank with the pop charger fitted :(

That cos you drive faster to hear the popcharger :D

Fitted mine Sunday - piece of cake to fit providing you follow instructions - took less than an hour. Throttle a lot more responsive now and does seem quicker. Noticeable difference in noise at about 4k rpm - there is a real throaty RAW. I have noticed I am always changing gear at high revs now to hear it LOL so I guess my fuel consumption will drop as well!! :p
