  1. Ok, I was hoping that maybe the K2 back box would direct fit same as the K1 but seems thats not the case!

I've noticed a lot of people on here seem to like the Scorpion, I'll give that a look.

    And the blueflame!

So if I have a k1 does that mean I will have the Y pipe or does the K1 fit the standard Y pipe?

Also if I do have the Japspeed Y pipe will that be compatible with scorpion, blueflame etc?

I'm a complete novice as I've always had completely standard cars in the past. The way I'm thinking at the moment is to stick with the K1 for a bit and see if I get sick of it. If I do then buy something else and sell the K1.

What an awesome sound the 350z makes though no matter what exhaust! Was a big part of the appeal to me.

Yep a japspeed y will work with other zorsts. K1 dosnt come with a ypipe.

    K1 / K2 will work with stock y-pipe

Some compnays sell "Cat Back" that includes a y-pipe and some do " Y Back" no y-pipe just midpipe and then back section.

Have a look about and see what else is available.... You will get a better sounding, easier to live with, better quality exhaust from someone like 5Zigen rather than buying a K1 and then getting rid and buying better!

  2. how much power did you gain from the re map then? and whats the grand total at the flywheel now? sorry i have no idea what how to read them graphs

The lower of the 2 lines is the initial and the higher of the 2 lines is the final.

That number is at the hub and you need to add about 30hp for drive train loss.. Some people use a % of between 10 and 15 loss so its about 280 at the fly

  3. I think Novidem are the real deal :scare: 562 hp (~500RWHP) and 435lb/ft(~380-400RWlb/ft) are really amazing figures but i bet they are not cheap.

Note how they've retained the OEM fuel rails among other things ;)

It would be nice to know if they've kept the internals stock, what warranty they provide if they did the work for you, consumption figures, what this setup consist of in its entirety and cost B)

Hopefully Thomas will be paying them a visit soon and will provide some answers :teeth:

Bout 14,000 euros I think inc fitting but you need to go to switzerland!

Yep it is warranted if you get them to do it.

Consumption figs?!?!?! Its an SC on a 3.5 so its gonna be crap! But it does have a switch to turn it off and on!

Hasnt Thomas got his fitted? Would have thought he would have know then cost without going there!!

  4. Off, like to be able to be in full control. Got a bad fright in a roundabout once that made me drive with off from then on.

    So did steve......

Just be careful with it off on slight wet, esp where oil deposits can be found...

    Steve?

He had a bit of a bump on one of the Wales runs on a roundabout.

I usually drive with it off unless the road is wet :)

Still have recollections of it when I look in my rear view mirror!! Still think it would have just been sorted with a bit of polish and it would have been good as new :)

  5. :teeth: Me too.

    Oppsss!!

Pimm, prob not but am not the best on flow rates. An aftermarket y-pipe will free stuff up a little as the pre HRs do have some restriction in them for noise, but not sure what benifits you would get...

  6. Sounds like you need to get it to Abbey, Uprev remap will soon give you that bit more your looking for... 100% WOT and lots more pull.

You never know, your car may be running in some type of limp mode.. It can happen and with no warning light. Try an ECU reset, also is it 100% stock under the hood?

Also, they learn from your driving style. on the dyno it takes them 5 or 6 runs to give their best numbers... Drive it like you stole it and it will improve..

i always presumed it was just auto boxes that learnt your style of driving ,looks like somthing to do for the week end, just to confirm, disconect battery for 30 ish mins then conect with all electrics off and let idle for 30ish minutes and then a give it a spirited drive?,

    cheers.

also when i was first driving the zed i was a little unimpressed with the feel of the acceleration but then checked the spedo :scare:

Nope, no need to disconnect! Just give it some beans where conditions allow!! as soon as the oil pressure is right and the water temp is in the middle of course!!
