Is the Chargespeed carbon diffuser real carbon? And is it original or replica as well?

Sorry I missed your message. The rear bumper and carbon diffuser are from RT Performance. The diffuser is real carbon.

I might be interested in the diff oil, not sure yet. Got a P3 coming in December - Not sure of the price directly from Nissan, going to try and find some and I'll get back to you.

 

Can anyone confirm if this is the correct oil for a manual '56 DE 350z?

It's suitable for all 350Z makes so it is fine. If Nissan charge less let me know, I'm not trying to make money over what it's worth I just don't want to throw it away. I found an eBay seller selling it for nearly £30 so I priced it less.

You're right;I'm out of touch with current prices. That's what it cost me when I bought it about 18 months ago. I'll amend it to reflect realistic prices. Damn RT performance and their value for money

After 7 years of ownership I've had to bite the bullet and sell the 350Z. I sold it months ago and am only just coming to terms with it! I coped for 4 years with 1 child, but 2 children made keeping the Z impossible. I'm ready now to part with my collection of bits.

Nismo V2 replica front bumper - £250160 collected; this has been fitted to a car already before I bought it. It was vinyl wrapped before I bought it so will still need prepping. There is some damage to it which I think was caused during delivery and I've tried to show in the images. This isn't structural and will be repaired as part of the prep. OEM pre HR bonnet - £20 collected. This was in perfect condition but I scratched it when I transported it, and it has been in a bodyshop for a while. It has paint residue all over. This does clean off with a clay bar but I'd suggest it needs a respray. If no-one wants it I'll have to chop it and take it to a scrappers.

K1 cat-back exhaust with bungs - SOLD

Pipercross air filter - £10 delivered or £5 if collected; this is used but you can clean them. I just stuck to OEM.

I've got more to sell but it won't fit into this one post.

I'm asking for most things collecting because of the size of them and difficulties getting the delivery insured. I will send them by courier if you want and will wrap them the best I can.

I just did the work this weekend. It was relatively straight forward, the kit seems to be working fine. If you do it yourself the video from YouTube was useful to follow. You don't have to disconnect the fuel pipes like he suggests in the video if you have another pair of hands to help hold things out of the way when you change the driver's side rocker cover. If anyone's DIY'ing this job and want some advice please shout me up.

No, the bolt holes between the Y-pipe and the cats don't fit upside down, they're not at 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock if that makes sense. I only found out the other week when reassembling my exhaust, accidentally tried to fit it the wrong way round.

Can you send a close up of the rivets on the friction plate so we can see how much meat is left on it? Might encourage buyers if there is

Steve at Grinspeed is a really good mechanic, and the prices are very competitive. I always take my car to him for work and servicing. He's a bit of a wizz when it comes to Japanese cars!

My key fob's not unlocking the car. I can unlock it manually but it doesn't do anything when I press the buttons. I only have one (so can't try the second) and I've changed the battery in the fob. Anyone any ideas where to start looking or how to diagnose it?

Everything with law is a grey area. Just an example - S5 Public Order Act: causing harrassment, alarm or distress. If I saw your decal I'd probably laugh it off, but someone else could be alarmed by it. DVLA won't know, they're purely record keepers. If you're worried you could email your local police force and one way or the other you'd get a reply in writing.

You don't need 2 officers in England or Wales, it's Scottish police that need corroboration. If you are stopped for any general matter by police you'd either get a warning (with a very stern lecture during which you look at the ground and humbly say 'yes officer' thanking your lucky stars you're effectively getting away with it), a fixed penalty notice or they will tell you that you're being reported for summons.

I'm not sure where the 2 officer thing comes from. Cases regularly go to court when it's purely one word against another. It's down to the verdict of the magistrates or jury. However with speeding there would USUALLY be some supporting evidence ie radar/video. I say 'usually' as it's not a requirement.

I wouldn't recommend stopping for any car that doesn't have flashing blue lights. If a police officer is trained and working in a role where they are expected to stop motorists, the police force will give a nice shiny car with blues. Anything less and it could be anyone sat behind the wheel!

Think Sarnie did 50 miles when it said DTE --- years and years and years ago. Mines accurate enough, about 24mpg.

There's no specific law that's being broken that I'm aware of but you'd be opening yourself up for plently of grief. An image of a topless female is unlikely to be explicit, and unlikely to cause distress to people. However if you get the curly finger from a cop who has a different opinion then anything is possible!
