Yeah they are brand new. Scrubbing in - doesn't sound too technical - just drive it presumably!!?? Did try the F1 warm-up lap weaving about but the tram driver behind got a bit stressed!! Pictures will be up shortly - just need to clean the car first!

Just had my new wheels fitted. Volks GT-Vs Fronts 19 - 8.5 - +23, rears 19 - 9 - +24 offset. Pirelli tyres. My traction control keeps cutting in, most often when cornering or accelerating (not madly!) through roundabouts, long corners etc. First noticed as going round a large roundabout and lost power for a few seconds - wondered what the hell was going on until noticed the TC light on. Got fed up with it and turn it off now. Anyone experienced something similar or can explain?

My 05, 8,000 miles Roadster has had a flat battery twice recently now. Tend not to drive it in bad weather, especially as it is in a garage over the road and I dont want to get wet either! Both times it was only 7 days after previous use, had to jump it but been told that can mess things up? I can't use a trickle charger as no power in or near the garage, although a solar powered one would work if anyone could recommend one? I also saw an ad for a 'jump starter' that plugs into the cigarette lighter, looked very small and neat.

I'm struggling to name many!

There was no service book with my 05 import, 7k. Any suggestions where I can get one? I had to pay BMW £15 for a replacement service book this year so imagine Nissan will charge a similar amount.

We're going to have to get an adjudicator who recorded it because I didn't spot any other Z's either. Or wait for the UK Gold repeat in 2011.

This is what Christmas Day should be all about, house completely tidy, kids old enough to entertain themselves (still in bed actually), partner in the bathroom for hours, me sitting with time and no guilt to browse the 350Z site and watch all day back to back Wheeler Dealers on Discovery Real Time!!! Got to go to parents though for lunch soon - damn it! What other cars were on Clarkson's shirt?? I only looked at the Z.

Thanks Zedrush, Unfortunately the wheels were in pairs so the scannable boxes did arrive, the missing box has no markings/labels on it whatsoever. I contacted Newera who sent them over from Japan on behalf of the guy I bought them from. They told me the insurance was only for £100 even though I paid £750 for the set, they've gone a bit quiet now!

An update for anybody interested. Despite daily calls to Colin at ParcelForce Charlton still no sign at all of my missing wheel. Apparently it will be in Coventry so I suggested I could go up there and look. NO CHANCE - Colin can't even talk to anyone there it all has to be done by email. I even took the boxes to Charlton to show them what to look for and what was inside. I'm not giving up as I cannot believe they will just end up throwing it in a crusher - surely at some stage they open up the lost parcels??? Anyway I am now having to contemplate how the hell I get a single wheel that isn't going to cost more than the 4 put together! They are used but the three I have seen are absolutely mint. Any ideas?

Sorry to bore you all with this saga but it's good therapy for me! I still can't believe that the delivery driver didn't think it odd that one consignment was made up of two boxes with a strap around them and the other one was only one box with a strap that was clearly too big which he left on the floor! Anyway actually spoke to someone today who is responsible for missing items, so a bit further on but clearly it hasn't surfaced yet at Charlton so he has emailed ParcelForce central depot. Needles and haystacks come to mind! What was worrying was when searching for "ParcelForce Charlton" to get their number most of the results were blogs slagging the place off - not encouraging.

Laughing at the situation is the only way i can deal with it so don't worry if you find it funny!!! Guess what, Parcel Force haven't rung me back as was promised to update me. What a surprise! I couldn't bring myself to even look at them until tonight - and as I thought that stressed me even more. The wheels were delivered with a pair making up one consignment, the missing box has no identifiable markings/numbers on it at all as they are all on the top box which was delivered, so in the eyes of ParcelForce they were delivered correctly. Need to chase up NewEra who sent them to me re insurance, but as they were classed as used wheels (even though mint/unmarked/hardly driven condition) I cannot imagine it will be much. I can just picture having to pay more for a single replacement wheel than the 4 I purchased plus duty which I didnt have to pay for these! aaaaaaaaaagggggggggggghhhhhhhhhh!

Seen quite a few of these posts from excited Z modders (is that a word?), with pictures of the boxes waiting to be opened and the contents fitted over the next weekend. So I thought that I will do the same with my Volk 19" GTVs that arrived from Japan this week via ParcelForce and signed for by my daughter. (The relevance of that will soon be understood!) But look closely, what do you notice???????? (No silly comments about plants in background please!) There's only bl***y three bl***y wheels!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! "I didn't know there were supposed to be 4 dad!" Now I am in the great ParcelForce loop trying to find where the hell the 4th one is. Wonder whether they'd fit a Reliant Robin?

In order:- Morris Minor, Mini, Wolsey 6 (x2), Austin Maxi, Mark 3 Cortina Estate, Mark 4 Estate, Sierra Estate, Range Rover, Toyota Previa, BMW 330 Convertible, 350Z!! (plus an Omega estate and the BMW which I cant bear to sell yet!) Anyone spot the moment the kids became independent?!! Which was roughly the same time I was accused of having a mid-life crisis - "Convertible and then a two seater - you must be seeing someone else!!!" No comment on that but wanting and having a 350Z is a mid-life achievement as far as I am concerned! Had always wanted a Supra but spotted a Z when I went to Crewe for a football match and that was that! So what are the typical patterns for a Z owner - young and free with no commitments, grown up children and increased disposable income, old and free with no commitments!!??

Thanks for the pics - the Nismo kit does look class!!! I want a red roadster too now!! Seen some Nismo 'style' kit available but it looks a bit flimsy - is that the main difference?

I need some help and suggestions re Bodykit for a black roadster. Nearly all the examples I have seen are for the coupe, the roadster is quite 'different' and may look unbalanced by many of the kits I have seen. I am not keen to go much lower at the front as there are road humps everywhere round here. The car will have 19" Volk GTVs fitted shortly. Any thoughts/links/pics that might help me? Thanks

I tried resetting the password but no luck. Further investigation shows that I am also having problems with Ccleaner, it was set to run automatically but hasn't been doing what It should. I uninstalled it but now cannot re-install it, constantly getting an error message. Given the original suggestion about the cookies it could well be that causing the problem. I'm going to solve the Ccleaner issue first then see what happens with logging on. Thanks

Hi, Thanks for the response. I don't store any cookies at all as I use CrapCleaner to erase them whenever the laptop starts up. However I did check for any 350Z ones on the system and there were none. I disabled my Firewall but that didn't make any difference either. It wouldn't be so much of a problem if my kids didn't hog this machine all the time forcing me to use my laptop/wireless network! Logging on did work until a few weeks ago but I don't want to use system restore as there are other changes I need to keep. I still show up as being signed in but cannot post as I am asked to log in and it doesn't let me further. Bit of a mystery really!!

I am able to log on using my PC but problems using my laptop. I log on but I just get the log on screen again with the fields blank and cannot access member facilities - however the forum shows that I am logged on!! Any ideas why that might be?
