  1. Fujitsubo is the closest to the Nismo zorst.

Fujitsubo is a factory fit option in Japan too.

Fujitsubo makes top notch stuff for sure - I have their titanium unit on my own car :) Also previously ran the stainless version. However, it does not include a Y pipe like the NISMO unit does and costs more than the NISMO as a result

  2. I wouldn't even consider the DC at this point. They were sold off from AEM earlier this year and now all their systems are made in China...quality has gone down to the tubes, lead times are enormous and it's not even a system that Id put on the radar anymore

  3. Nissan did raise the price of the exhaust about a month or so ago, but we do such volumes that our increase was kept much smaller than it otherwise would have been.

We can still delivery it for ~$1550US shipped to the UK/Ireland -higher than it was, but not by too much. Unfortunately the exchange rate now is a bit more in our favor than yours

However, this is the price for a single system. I'd be happy to work out group pricing (would all have to ship to one address) if we can get say 5 interested parties. If interested, organize and let us know

  4. Jenvey also do a kit, though it's a bit rougher around the edges and needs some substantial work for proper fitment. One person here in the US has it on a 4.1 liter all motor G35, with cams, etc. His car did 322 whp on a Dyno Dynamics. My car did 320 whp (without my ITB) but that was on a Dynapack, which reads like the local Dynojet (confused yet!). I suspect the stroked ITB car would put down ~360 whp on the same dyno I was on

  5. have envy colaborated this?

and why in all my searching of engine parts have i never come across throttle bodies for the 350Z, i fricking love throttle bodies :p

    vq35parts.jpg

your's for ~$6000 (carbon box not included...they never announced pricing on this)

BTW, Top Secrets own car with this ITB kit fitted only managed 354 hp - no mention if that was at the wheels or crank

Ive got an ITB setup for my own car (whoops, cat's out of the bag now!), but as of yet, it's just sitting in the workshop looking pretty. First have to figure out if we can use my UTEC or if I'm going to have to pony up for a standalone

  6. makes more sense then

just as a basis for comparison, assuming a 15% loss through transmission (should be about right), I would be around 368 hp at the crank. Not sure how hp equates to bhp though

 Now I'm confused... are they not really the same?

    :scare:

    (think it's 17% btw)....

    :headhurt:

Next time I'll ask to get it into Kw :D

Tried to figure it out but got even more confused (bhp vs hp) so it's goodnight for me

whp = wheel horsepower, so the power the car makes at the tires as measured on a chassis dyno

HP and BHP, are power measured at the crank. Only really possible to get an approximate unless you have the engine connected to an engine dyno

15%, 17%....one never will really be able to tell, but I use 15% - I'd rather err on the side of caution when approximating crank hp

  7. 265 whp is inordinately high actually for a stock baseline. Here in the US, depending on the type dyno used and the location, it ranges from about 210 whp to around 230 who, for 2003-2006 models

so, assuming your baseline is a given % higher than the normally "accepted" #'s for the Zed, your car is in the 270 range, which for intake/exhaust bolt ons and a tune, is spot on where it should be

  8. We're still waiting on hard proof of the supposed gains from this unit.. (ie a dyno test before and after installation) but so far havent seen any  ... so its kinda doubtful.

mmm pay me 50% of the cost and I'll do it for you B)

 their webpage (cosworth) states 24bhp against standard.... that's some increase :D My Pure one did 8-9 from standard :scare: I might be willing to take the hit on testing this myself (I'll see what santa brings for Christmas...)

    :surrender:

8-9HP? How long was it run before you did the dyno? Did you give the ECU time to learn it was there? There have been lots of rumours that if you dyno the car straight after the mod it will show gains, but then if you do it after say a month, the ECU has learnt the mod and cancels it out. Jury is still out on it, but no one is seeing consistent gains over these things other than the spacer giving more torque mid range.

proved on dyno sheet, anyhow... mine is a JPM model and not a uk one dont think I suffer for that stuff above

Sorry forgot you're tuning with the Haltech, tnought it was with teh OEM ECU

mmm the 8-9 bhp was a gain BEFORE I tuned with the Haltech ECU. I had it in for about 1 month or so before I did the Haltech ECU swapout.

    Here it goes:

STANDARD DYNO: (APEXI SLIP IN+ZEES Exhaust) 265BHP

EVENT installed the Pure Plenum Spacer (1 month went by...)

DYNO PRE HALTECH: (APEXI DROP IN+ZEES Exhaust + PURE) 273 +-1 BHP

DYNO HALTECH ECU INSTALLED (BaseMAp+APEXI DROP IN + PURE+ ZEES Exhaust) = 300 bhp

    LAST DYNO: (tuned map+apex drop in+pure+Zees exhaust+haltech) 324 BHP

    There

bhp or whp? there is a big difference

any scan of the dyno run?

  9. He also posted:

I have a 2003 fairlady Z i got the ECU remap by envy it cost 700 guess it pays to go JDM!!!!!

So maybe Envy have cracked the ECU and can get 470hp N/A for £700?

Interesting because on my350z he said he had an fcon. He also said he had headwork done by Mines and Top Secret...must have been some collaboration. We're still waiting on his pictures

like I said, I'll enjoy this, whatever the outcome :)
