Wind noise is probably high compared to other 07 cars, i.e the TT and Z4. But i can live with that.

 

I don't think its tiring on long journeys and i spent 10hrs in the Zed picking up my exhaust in December. had no problems at all.

 

 

Mpg - yeah if they've been doing alot of spirited driving. I average around 25 mpg with both town and motorway driving.

I drove back from Cornwall on Monday morning - 250 odd miles at an average of 90 ish (funny how you can find that many private roads) and got 30mpg , which I thought was fantastic. Got out fresh as a daisy after a really enjoyable drive. I could have driven straight back !

I have to say I normally get 22mpg in mixed driving though.

no It does not sound like you are doing anything wrong. I like the other suspect a dodgy bluetooth connection which could of course be the phone or the adapter. The only way forward is to try a different phone and or a different adapter Good luck .

I think you can actually store 100 names. You do know the instructions for the bluetooth are in the Z 's manual don't you ?

I use a crappy Nokia 6110 ( I think or maybe 6130) and its absolutely fine

Yeah the majority of the lads down there arent bad. I wont name and shame the salesman that lead to me wanting compensation, but lets say he didnt exactly go out of his way to compete the sale once he had my deposit.

 

Terry is a top bloke, he was very helpful once I got to speak to him. Just need to drag my backside into the dealership to get it sorted.

 

I think it must be you. Its the only other Zed I've seen there since getting mine, as we know there arent many around. Might be good to drop that into the convo with Terry that there are other forum members that use the dealership and if he doesnt play nice with me, I'll not give them the nicest write up on here

Visiting my daughter in Brisbane, and have yet to see a Z. She tells me she hardly sees any round here.

 

We left Glasgow on Saturday at 3:15 pm, just as the attempted bombers were at work apparently. It seems we were very lucky to get away. Just glad nobody was hurt. Sorry if this has been covered in another thread, but I haven't been able to search through 220 unread posts.

I was in Surfers Paradise in March (just south of Brisbane) and I did see a few Z's. Most were white, which I thought at the time looked decidedly dodgy !!

I took my Zed to the dealer last night and asked if they would have a look at the corrosion on my Rays. They took photos, agreed that they should be replaced under warranty and said they would put a claim in for me. They also asked to see my service history to verify warranty before submitting the claim. I'm taking this in later today, but it does look promising. The service huy told me that a new set of Rays would set me back about £2600 if I was to order some, so its worth trying to claim on warranty...

 

Will let you know how I get on!

 

Yep, Nissan ask to see full service history to "prove" the car has been looked after. If you ain't got one, then your request is probably thrown out! (even though its probably got nothing to do with your wheels!)

 

That's what I'm afraid of! The previous owner had his first (9000mile) service done at 10600 miles. I could have doctored the paperwork, but chose to be honest! I'm waiting to hear from them over the next couple of days... Can 1600 miles really make a difference?

 

If they try to say that the extra 1600 miles is the reason to turn you down then thats bollocks. You wheels would be in exactly the same state ->Not fit for purpose

 

Had a call from the garage on Friday, Nissan have approved my warranty claim and 4 new Rays will be sent in 7 to 14 days time! Excellent! I can hardly believe how good the dealer has been with this, they needed very little persuading and didn't really argue with me at all! Looking forward to getting the new wheels on as I have a few kerb marks on my existing ones too.

Been using this locally over the weekend and must say Im very impressed with it No interference or crackling at all so far.

 

It's better in the rear power socket, it just means you cant see the screen or fiddle with it whilst driving, probably a good thing for safety.

 

Also saw this in John Lewis on the weekend for £59.99 , so a bargain at Amazon for £24.99!!

god I can't imagine not wearing a seat belt - it's like second nature to put it on. I would never drive without one, not even up the road.

Me either, I have seen pickies of people going through windscreens - NOT pretty !!!

We have had the belkin one for 6 months now, although I have not used it in the Z. Its been quite good, although I think it is very area dependent. We used it most on a road trip in Aus and it was fine, but I guess the airwaves are not so congested there?

I think you just have to find the correct wavelength for where you live that has no other strong signal nearby.
