Still no confirmed delivery date for the Power Steering Pipe, so have been without my car for 11 days now... So, in a month of ownership, the car has been with me for a total number of 11 days... with the rest of the time spent out of action because of power steering issues... However - Just had a call from the guys at Car Imports Direct, who are going to lend me a 55 plate Nissan Skyline R35 350GT Until mine is back on the road Nice one chaps... Still want my car back tho....

So, as you will have read from the above, there was a problem with my power steering pump. Car Imports Direct got the car in, and to their credit had a new pump fitted within a few days However... After a week, the noise was back, I checked and the power steering fluid had emptied The guys from their workshop came up to me at my office, and topped up the fluid. Which was good of them. Worked fine for a couple more days, but then same again. So, I have been without my car sinse Thursday now, and they have just told me that a replacement power steering pipe is on order.... And could be, wait for it, THREE WEEKS!!! Anyone else had similar problems? Or maybe know the part number to see if there is any way of getting hold of one sooner???? Just to confirm though, the guys at Car Imports Direct have been good about this, getting my car in straight away, coming out to see it at my office etc. No problems with them at all, just wish it wasn't going to be so long without my car. I have had it "on the road" for a total of 11 days sinse picking it up on the 17th Jan, Frustrating!!

Pretty sure Car Imports Direct in Bristol had one in this colour when I was looking at mine...

Yeah, all fine there. First thing I did when I suspected a problem with the power steering. Was topped up as part of the pre-sale service

Hmmm... Well that's a bit of a worry. Hope they hurry up, missing the I get from driving it already.....

Hi guys. Picked up my 54 plate JDM Zed on Wednesday. Dead happy with it, love the car. Took me ages to find one I wanted and took the plunge. However, after 3 day, I started to gwt a strange noise when turning the car, on Saturday morning this had worsend to the noise being there all the time as soon as the engine starts up. Got straight onto Car Imports Direct (Bristol) which is where the car came from, but they couldn't send anyone out to look at it unitl this morning. They took my car away this morning and have just confirmed to me that is is the power steering pump and will take a few days to fix Anyone else had issues with Power Steering? Car has done 35k, so I guess quite high millage for a 54 plate, but still!?!

Just bought myself a 54 plate import with the auto box, picked it up yesterday and LOVE it. But, mine also doesn't seem to hold on steep hils. My car before this was a 330ci BMW, with a tiptronic box and it was just the same, so no need to worry at all fella
