There are issues with opening and closing the door though. Mainly the window drops when opened but when you close the door it fails to go back up. Leaves a nice gap for the rain to get in.

I think you will need both. Try banging on the inside door panel if it opens after that then it is a sticky motor. Im pretty sure that I had the regulator replaces at the same time as my motor Yeah, that usually solves the problem for a while.

It's only happened in the last day or so. Not had time to check scrapyard. Need to get all the other stuff fitted first. Guess I can always go check out my dealer and see how much they want to rape me for.

So, passenger window has stopped going up and down. Just clicks when I press either button. Seems to be one thing after another at the moment. The biggest issue I have is that now the window doesn't seal properly when you close the door so it's a bit noisy when on the motorway. Any ideas on the cost to get it repaired?

Are you talking about the new V8 version that's supposed to be coming out? Now there's a pointless exercise if ever I saw one. £105k for the V8, or £130k for the V10. Or under £100k for a used V10. The way I see it is if someone can afford £105k then they more than likely can afford the £130k to get the V10. Failing that they could spend that £105k on a used V10. So exactly what is going to be the point of the V8 version!?!

Checked this morning, all the seals around the drivers door seem to be letting water in, there also appears to be water inside the door as well, coming out from the gap in the door trim att he bottom.

You're right I think. I opened the door earlier when I went out and there's loads of drops on the kickplate. I always assumed it dripped off when I opened the door but I checked the passenger side and it was dry. I guess it's gettign in somehow and dripping all over the kickplate, then running down the side.

Is the kick plate the thing with the big 'Z' on it? I'll try to look when it's not absolutely peeing it down. How do I get it off?

Not that I can see. The seal around the door had a tear in it a few months ago, letting water drip in slowly. This was replaced and I never had an issue again, can't see any evidence of water drops elsewhere on any of the interior.

Can't see signs of water getting in around the windscreen. Carpet isn't wet around the pedals either, it's just around the part between the drivers seat an the plastic bit on the floor near the pedals, and down the side of the drivers seat by the door

I just dropped something down the side of the drivers seat (door side) and stuck my hand down to retrieve it. Imagine my suprise when I felt damp. So I pressed firmly against the carpet with my hand and it was soaking! Checked the passengers door side and under passengers seat and it was dry as a bone. Stuck hand under driver seat and it seems to be just around door area. Then I pulled the drivers side floor mat up and sure enough, the carpet is wet! Argh, what the hell? Where's it coming in, how do I stop it and more importantly, does my car have some hidden history that is likely to have been the cause of this?!
