  1. You can use a clay bar, but you need A LOT of lube because otherwise it can mark the wrap and that's one mark you may not be able to remove ever. No reason not to though, I've clayed mine once with the AS clay cloth and it worked a treat.

You need to know what you're doing with the ceramic stuff, as it's easy to get it wrong and wreck everything. On paint you can at least polish it off and try again, with wraps you're a bit knackered if you get it wrong. Needs to be done indoors and on a cool-ish (i.e. not freezing but not like an oven) day. Probably best left to the pros if you're not confident, I've done a couple now on paint and it's been fine but I have been nearly caught out a couple of times, and there was a panic to correct in time!

  2. Sorry I can't help and kind of thread jumping, but what kind of price would someone pay to get this done?? I.e cleaning abit of surface rust and undersealing the whole car?? £300ish??

Really depends on how much rust. You're paying for someone's time so that could vary from the initial estimate if it turns out to be more involved than first assumed. My mechanic loves a bit of wax oiling. At least thats what i tell him since he always recommends getting it done. However I can never get a quote up front out of him. £300ish sounds like a reasonable ballpark figure for minor surface rust but i'd have contingency budget just in case.

  3. I've only found out to my horror that the previous owner of my car had refurbed my Mk2 Nismo alloys twice. The finish on the diamond cut lips is corroding after 12 months and the place that did them pretty much admitted they'll always go that way. I don't know what they do different to the manufacturer as the one orignal wheel is still fine. Needless to say i'll probably get them done in one colour when the time comes rather than go diamond cut again.

  4. So the previous owner of my car cannot find the owners manual and the Nissan garage I bought the car from are dragging their heels on getting me a replacement. I'm guessing they'll only send me the Owners Manual and Service Book. My old 350z had a protective (leather?) wallet.

I just wanted to check what a new Mk 2 Nismo should come with. What should i have??

Had a quick search on google but figured i'd get a more conclusive answer here

  5. I'd observed the same sensation with mine and this was always in the back of my mind but i never got around to checking as i haven't really stretched the car that often to form a definitive conclusion. Blindly thinking that the previous owner would've noticed. Surely Nissan would've checked after selling the same car again.......

So inspired by your post i went and checked .....

Of course they were still there.
