  1. Strange problem, hopefully someone can help!

When playing CD's or the radio, the bass levels sometimes increase quite a bit for a few seconds then drop back to normal. I've changed the stereo, the bass amp and the sub (all original OE parts) but still the same issue.

I've got a spare amp that I bought from a member on here, should I try that, could that be the problem? Any advice received with thanks!!

  2. Once repaired they do have to endure a VIC (Visual) check and has to be repaired to a standard to be bought back onto the road.

For the 2nd time, a VIC test has absolutely nothing to do with checking the repairs or road worthiness, (visual) or otherwise, it is a, Vehicle Identity Check, to reduce cloning or ringers. It is also invalid as of October 2015, you no longer need a VIC test to get a logbook.

Nothing wrong with a Cat C, but unless its well priced and your aware resale may take a while go for it, I would feel more comfortable knowing its been fully checked over though.

Very true!! I've seen countless repaired cars advertised as VOSA checked / inspected indicating they have checked the repair when they only check the ID.

For a Cat C, knock off a good 35% off the value, have a really, really good look / extended test drive then if all is well and it's a great price then go for it. If you can't fault it and buy it then someone else will like it when you come to re-sell :)

  3. I see a white one the other say going opposite direction.. Not my most desirable car as I do believe over priced.. Would of been nice to have a lil race with it

I had a race with my mates' NSX a few months back... actually undertook him eventually... Wasn't a struggle by any means.

He must have been in an auto for a 350 to 'easily' go by! There's a huge difference in the manual & auto but with both cars at around 280BHP'ish neither are really going to make the earth move

  4. I believe that if you have an accident, you'll be screwed as you effectively have no insurance at all

I agree hence my new business venture went no further, wonder how this chap insures his paying customers, probably not at all??

  5. Yes you'd need a Hackney licence (think that's spelt correctly?) along with public liability insurance to do this sort of thing commercially / legally. I considered this sort of thing to part pay for a 360 Modena I fancied but was put off by the hassle of it all plus the correct insurance was expensive.

It's fine & dandy until an accident happens, it them becomes a nightmare!!

  6. I get this with every car these days :-( When I bought my pearl White Z back I thought I'd keep it forever this time. With my company insurance rules I advertised it for absolute top dollar at £10k and it still sold 5 days later! I wasn't sure wether or not I'd miss it but if the money is going to be used to progress in life any car is soon forgotten...................except my supercharged NSX!!!!

    Dave.

  7. Before you start spending get a decent code reader on the car, I had an issue with a coil pack but my reader was throwing up crank or cam sensors. I then used a decent snap on reader with pointed to cylinder 5 (from memory), I changed the pack with a replacement from Z Man Alex and all was well. I was also getting the same cel lights as you've mentioned!

  8. I'd just get the parts dipped, really good finish and actually looks like carbon rather than carbon wrapped. I got several pieces dipped for under £200, I think there's a chap on here who also has done some nice work. It is more expensive than wrapping but the finish is far better.

  9. I didn't realise it only made that power, oh well i tried :teeth:

If anyone wants a quick look at 2 of my previous Hondas they are still on my website at www.esperformance.co.uk

If you look under the sold Honda section there are pics of the supercharged NSX (i still miss that one Ian!!) and pics of the Orange auto........thats was a bit of a tarts handbag but i liked it  I'll also post up some pictures of my very first NSX, yet another i wish i'd kept!!

The supercharged NSX is now wrapped in a Pearl White wrap, looks really nice!!

  10. Yes they are great cars but have gone through the roof now, i've had 3 of them but the SC was by far my favorite, the pics are still on my website of the last 2 :teeth:

I'll drop the seller an email! Have fun wherever you are :D
