Every insurance company I've been with since my ban (Feb 2004) have siad it doesn't make any difference because I was banned under an SP30 (which they can't understand) and have no points on my lisence. Strange I know but true, in fact my insurance was cheaper on my renewal the first time after my ban and I did inform them of it.

I got caught speeding by a "safety van" while overtaking in an overtaking lane in my old Calibra Turbo. Got a £350 fine and banned for 2 weeks The fine depends on how much you earn which IMO is completly wrong!! Anyway, license came back with no points on it so it doesn't affect my insurance.........which is nice. (Sorry I know this doesn't help )

Not yet mate, was lookin at buying a BMW 330Ci but just come back from America where I was parked up to a 350Z. One of the best looking cars around IMO. Are they all the same bhp (280?) as standard? Will be going for a test drive as soon as my local Nissan dealer gets one in. Gutted that I have to wait until March but just bought the wife a brand new Clio so have to get the funds back up

Hi everyone, brand new to the site (which is great by the way) and was wondering what spec to go for when I buy my 350Z (not until March next year ). I will have around £16000 to £18000 to spend. Is it better to go for an import version as you seem to get more for the money. What age and milage am I looking at with my budget? Looking for a black one, do they do this colour in black? Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks all, Toddy
