  1. Did you mean 35% ratio of width? Sure they will be able to supply different tyre.
  2. They are nice and look good on the Z. What size r they? do you know if 19's with 8J front and 9J rear is ok?
  3. Silver with stainless rim. Trawled through topgears website and found them. Then searched on ebay for better deal. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/19-AXE-AP41-Alloy ... dZViewItem
  4. Hi guys, thinking of buying these 19in wheels. Think they only come in 8J and 9J. Obvioulsy prefer wider wheels but presume the 8J front and 9J rear is ok with suitable offset. Cheers
  5. How do you get from £8,900 to £10,500? You may have missed some things? All the SVA work, model report, mot, registration, Alarm etc came to £1,600 for me, plus import tax, VAT, shipping. I reckon you may be nearer £13,500.
  6. Hi Nixy I Imported my Z this year direct from japan http://www.japaneseusedcars.com/ Bought chilli 4.5 grade car, version S, thats the luxury model over in Japan leather, BOSE sound. Auction price was £10,500. Final price was £15,600. If think you can buy cheaper imports, but i paid more for the higher grade and colour. I have attached an excel spreadsheet of my costs. Cheers Mark
  7. I've had no luck either. Emailed Nissan Japan and had no reply Tried to get a Bluetooth cradle from a write off to see if could be spliced into existing wiring.....but no luck! If you have any success please send post Thanks Mark
  8. I put a non genuine Veilside kit on a Supra. Looks the dogs dagglies when finished but what you save on the kit you pay for it getting it fitted, sprayed and bonded to the car. It also needed hacking around with because it didn't fit properly. Absolute nightmare. Also fibre glass kits are not as forgiving as the orginal plastic type from Nissan which are flexible. The slightest knocks on fibreglass means back to the body shop! Don't do it!
  9. cannot buy BT cradle and loom seperately from holdcroft as there is no seperate part listed, they think its part of the main loom.. might try written off 350z
  10. Welcome to the forum mad max. I imported my Z from Japan and looking to find out if phone system is the same as USA car. Be grateful if you could let me know if connector is the same. Enjoy the chat.
  11. Never seem the roadster pic before.. just encourages me to get a a set of those wheels
  12. They look soo good on chilli, which is what I have!
  13. anyone know garages/breaker yards dismantling written off 350z's? Search on internet but not much around. I looking to buy the nismo kit peicemeal as I don't want to shell out £2k+. Also want to try and take out BT cradle and try and make it fit/work with JDM. Cheers Mark
  14. I've asked seller for shipping cost. Looked at previous sale prices $1275 and $1475, so a bit of variation. 18in are on sale as well for about $1050. Very tempting
  15. Q. Anyone tried splicing in the UK phone connector for BT, into the cable/connector for JDM imports. Having no luck locating a cradle to fit the JDM cable. Holdcroft think it might work but not sure if the bluechip chip (uk unit) will talk to the module in the car.. Cheers guys. Mark
  16. Hi guys, Anyone purchased rays from the state? Based on previous prices they are less than £800 for a set + P&P. I presume you may have to pay the dreaded 10% customs and 17.5% VAT aswell. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... AMEWA%3AIT
  17. Is this the connector to Q.6. I posted this about a week ago, but had no luck so far sourcing. I am told that you need a cradle from Japan rather than a UK cradle.
  18. I'll get a pic if I can of the tiny marks, maybe too small to see but will try!
  19. Following discussions with Holdcroft, I sent them some pictures of the phone adaptor plug for my Jap import. Their advice is that the UK cradles and BT adaptors do not fit as the Jap's have a slightly different wiring system. I am currently checking with Nokia whether a Japanese cradle can be purchased to fit this system. I have also asked a contact in Japan where I purchased the car whether he can shed any light. I'll keep you updated but if anyone else has had any luck please let me know. I have included a picture of the adaptor.
  20. The tiny marks could be tar, but they are very small. There are starting to come off arter each polish, but polishin with this crap on the car is a nightmare. I thought fairy liquid was bad! But willing to give anything a try!
  21. Ok so don't use white spirit then I'll get the tar remover. The car is in mint nic but there are loads of tiny marks over the bonnet and roof, which really don't help when polishing. Not sure if jap owner never got rid of them or they came from 6 weeks on a boat! Back to valet store then! Cheers guys!
  22. I have always used polish to remove the tar, well its worked in the past! I did see the tar and fly remover, but just assumed the polish would do the trick! At this rate i'll be all day cleaning the car Has anyone bought the tar remover.. would white spirit do the same.. PS don't shoot me if this a bad idea!!!
  23. Tried the megs products over the weekend. The gold class polist goes on real easy, exspecially with the nice sponge. However, it did not easily remove the stubborn marks like tar and dead flys! AG does this much better. Did not really like the NXT protector, too much of a shiny wet look for my liking, but it has hidden the mark which started off this thread! Does the wet look dissappear after a while?
  24. Thanks, I will be careful Glad someone else has used on the Z, did not want to apply this stuff on the door, just in case it reacted in some way!
