    WILL THEY FIT

Actually mate, i do think they would look nice! There was a thread re a virtual mod mock up thingy! (technical eh? ) And the Y looked v nice with the black wheels, though the mocked car had what appeared like a CF bonnet. http://www.digimods.co.uk/images/Virtua ... an350z.jpg Dont think its same colour as yours?! But should give you an idea! Like i said i like it imo
  5. Cheers! Im opposite to you, i need the manual! Ah well Japan bank hol is nearly over and i can resume looking!
  6. Ah nice to know who it was! They looked like a good set up, and a positive story is always nice to hear! Maybe to be honest im looking for too much trying to get into a Z for £16k. I know i could hold off till new year and change then, but im an impatient so and so!!
  7. Looking at it mate. Sixteen is my limit really. Just figured i could get a new low mileage example by importing. Of course though, as im sure you can tell im nervous about it all as a newb! If you spot any let me know though!
  8. Hehe they're actually who i was leaning towards! Keep the coming please guys if anyone has anything good/bad to say bout importers
  9. Im 24 with 5years no claims and adding my 21 gf to policy on a FK5 postcode. Just to chime in with my quotes; Best so far is elephant at £540 p/a on an import Z
  10. Ok, ta Sarnie for heads up. Keep them rolling guys!! Had a look on http://www.mackaytrading.co.uk/ as i believe someone here bought from them ( think i saw someone say they had somewhere in here! ) They also seem expensive for 02/03 cars?
  11. As the title suggests, could i please have all and any importer recommendations either from personal experience, or knowing someone etc! Any horror stories or warnings as to who best to avoid would also be very welcomed. Thanks for any help and your patience!
  12. hehe as in ie: i cant afford it! ah well, nismo exhaust and hi-flow cats will do me! if japan ever finish this bleeding holiday! If im this bad waiting to order, god knows what the next 2months will be like!
  13. Ta for help mate, but cant even order car atm, as Japan are on Bank Holiday!!
  14. Force induction? Whats involved/what gains can be had? And im sure its on the site somewhere but im about to go out, so i'll look when im back if no one has told me by then!
  15. Can you map the JDM ecu's? And does that lift the 112mph restriction or will you still need a box to lift restriction? Soz for thread hijack
  16. Cheers Jim and Nana. Jim looking forward to having the 350 and not seeing many myself! Thinking of chilli red with nismo kit! And Nana, pretty sure im gonna go with Bonsai and see how it goes! Just gutted as its a japanese bank holiday! Im all set to buy once the right car pops up, money is sitting in current a/c waiting to be spent!! /me a very impatient Z owner to be!
  17. Hey i actually think it would look smart! But as she is involved in the decision making, i gotta appease the demon some way!!! Hell it was hard enough to convince her to get one! Just dont tell it doesnt have back seats! OT But are there many 350z's in Scotland? Any meets or runs etc happen up there?
  18. hehe, yeah that is kinda concerning. But 'if' the worst was to happen, i'd cry first and the get the boys with big bats to visit depending on who was too blame! Alot of trust involved in importing, and i guess thats why i was asking here first. Before i do anything i'll be making sure i have written letters re insurance of car once in transit etc, ie once i've paid the monies and its in my name! Only problem is the without a car bit! I sold my 04 Cooper S to let me buy a new car, fell in love with the Z and now gonna have to wait AGES! Just not fair! Ah well, gives me time to get my move all sorted, im moving from N.Ireland to bonnie Scotland at end of September! All for love! Well that and i cant insure the car here! lol
  19. There are quite a few for sale, but if i've done my sums the import is gonna work out quite a bit cheaper. Basically im after an 04/05 ver-ST. Nearerst i've seen in uk atm was £16k + Bonsai actually sold a Japan Stock GT4 for just over £15k otr. Would've been a lovely car, apart from the yellow! Girlfriend will in no way allow a yellow car!
  20. Ta for the help so far. Have spoken to Bonsai and they seem proficent, but hard to make a decision from words alone. I have a breakdown of costs as follows; Car paid for by customer direct to auction house in Yen £500 stg shipping paid direct by customer once car lands in uk. 10% on invoice of car + shipping for Customs Vat at 17.5% on the above price so far £695 +VAT for Bonsai fee (Option3) £700 SVA test fee etc £156 Reg fee inc 6months tax Anyone spot anything missed out from their own experiance etc? That seem like resonable costs or extortionate? Im liking the paying auction house in Yen as im a Banker, and get brilliant rates on foreign currency deals, so i'll be saving myself approx another £1000-1500 stg Ps- Just found the JDM section after i posted this so apologies if im in wrong place! if a mod should feel it needs moved, that'd be great! All help, comments welcome!
  21. Very brief question, im looking at buying an import 350, and am thinking of using a company called Bonsai Cars. Just wondered if anyone had heard of them, had any experiance with them for imports or knew someone who had. Alot of money to entrust to someone without a little prior knowledge you know! Any help appreciated
