    MOT

Hi Guys. Is there any truth in this... "If you have to take your Z for an MOT, don't let them test the rear brakes on the rolling road, as it may naff up your Limited Slip Differential"
  3. If money was no object, these would be the wheels to go for, in my opinion Volk GT-C 19 x 8.5 +14 front, 19 x 10.5 +24 rear (arches rolled) Camber is -3' all round. Tyres are 245/35 and 285/30.
  4. Does anybody know what these are?
  5. I'm still on there (buzz), I also reconize your name I think.
  6. Hi guys I pick the car up next, and like I said it's only as one key, and I didn't take allot of notice of it to be honest, what I Didn't test was the central locking,I presume the unlock/lock function's are on the key itself, right?.
  7. I've gone and bought it , so I hope I haven't bought a pig in a poke. so now I'm hoping to sell my existing car ASAP, if anyone on here wants to buy a FTO, let me know..
  8. I see a nice looking car, but it's what's underneath that really matters. suppose I'll have to take the chance, and hope for the best. BTW are these inspections (AA and the like) worth going for?.
  9. I forgot to mention, it's had 4 owners, should I be worried about that?
  10. some good points there, thanks
  11. Hi Guys. Would anybody with some Z Knowledge,be willing to meet up with me, to check out this cars credential's, viewtopic.php?f=9&t=41775 ASAP, very nearly put a deposit on it last night, but thought I'd give you guys on this fantastic forum a chance to look at it first. I know what looks good, but you can't go on looks alone Cheers, people.
  12. and may I add, I'm so wrapped into thinking about the car, and getting a good deal, I haven't thanked everybody for contributing so far, it's much appreciated, thankyou

  15. what would a P3 service cost me, and do I need to take it to a nissan dealer for that?.
  16. I'm not all that mechanically minded, how would I check the pads (other than taking the brake assembly to bits), and like I said it seems slip into the gears smoothly.
  17. They said they would service it (just basic), and MOT it for a year, and 6 months road tax, also the radio as lost it's code but they will sort that for me, and there's not much tread on the back tyres, but they only said they would replace them if it was gonna fail the MOT on that point. I tried to get them down on price but they wont budge. (yet!)
  18. if it's a import wouldn't it have a square reg plate at the back?
  19. being a non GT, will it be cheaper to insure? and also what's the extras if it's a GT.
  20. Hi Guys. I missed out this weekend on buying a Z from a fellow member on here, so I've been on the hunt again and found this one.... http://www.dealer.autotrader.co.uk/26301/dlamb.htm (it's on the second page) I've test driven the car and it seems OK, it doesn't look like it's had allot of hammer (the inside looks like new), but I'm not sure what the tell tail sign's are anyway It's not a GT,( which I'm not all that bothered about) but it as got the brembo brakes, looking at the service book it's last stamp was on the 29/3/08, when it had a P1. it only as one key, is it expensive to buy another?. Ill post some pics I took myself shortly. Thanks in advance.
  21. Right, you've all put me off the wheels in the first post. so I've been looking at these.. http://www.wheelbasealloys.com/?gclid=C ... 4wod0gaH5Q the company above sell them, but on there website it says they aren't suitable for the Z, but I've been on other websites selling the same wheel and they say it is, which is correct ?. ie.... PACKAGE Dotz GTR Silver, - 19x8.5 £135.13 per wheel with - 245/40R19 £207.97 TOYO T1R PROXES - for 2004 Nissan 350Z. 3.5 V6
  22. I was looking at wheels for the 350z,and this company popped up,(incidentally I've used before) and being close to where I live, and also the deals on wheels & tyres, seem to be pretty good. http://www.wheelbasealloys.com/?gclid=C ... 4wod0gaH5Q can you recommend any other places I should be looking at?. sorry I forgot the link on the previous post
