ok so those who have read my last thread. I have put down £5000 deposit on a kuro black with alezan 350z (2005, 3380 miles) Ive got her for 23400 which i think is quite reasonable. THe car is in as new condition bar a few swirl marks that i think are to be expected with this colour.
Ill def be getting the meguaurs out for some serious polishing every week.
Can anyone give me some final purchase tips before i hand over the rest of the money on sat as the deposit is still refundable?

Check brake discs and pads, also tyre tread!!! All can be a costly outlay if not checked first. As I found out!!!

by the way is this swirling issue on the black that noticeable?

After reading a review on Fast & Modified, I was intrigued by the properties of this product, and tried to figure out the benefits on our Z:
I wrote to them asking if we could test the product so that we could review it on here and they kindly agreed to send me 3 kits of their product:
I'm testing one (and reviewing it) so we have 2 kits for whoever guesses what is depicted in this pictures
entries can be the same as we have 2 kits to give away but of course only the first 2 to post the exact answer will receive the goods (P&P will need to be paid though or collection from my house or at meets is possible).
Only thing we ask is to review the product following guidelines, to validate some of their claims below:
Faster warm up: time how long it takes your Z to get to temperature (oil temp gauge) before and after adding Motormax
Reduced water temperature: again, check what's your water temp gauge before and after Motormax
More comfortable passenger compartment temperatures: we all know how hot the Z interior becomes after a good thrashing, so check before and after Motormax

So heres a pic of my car kit which phones can i use?
I cant work out how it works I cant even see a conector on it???!
You need to buy a phone cradle to attach to the kit that is in the centre consol. There are about 5 cradles about but most are on compatible with 3 yr old phones!!!
The best phone imo that is compatible is the 6230i. Its not great but it quite small, has a camera etc

Nissan didn't seem to think so, it was discontinued from 2006 for the 350Z
Oh yeah, they have added a bit of white to make it almost GM!!!

So the Z went on Saturday and I picked up my Sagaris this morning (finally!!!)
One word......WOW.......!!! Absolutely awesome. The feeling of power is immense and it sounds positively awesome. Ride wise it is MUCH firmer than the Z (and i'd had mine lowered!!), but oh so responsive. Despite it's lack of traction control and increased power it is remarkably sticky on the roads (one of the things i'd been worried about) and glides and corners with ease whilst at the same time remaining easy to throw sideways if you want to. Admittedly the roads are dry today, I may find it a little more....er....fun.....in the wet (even span the wheels trying to reverse up a VERY slight incline that was slightly damp ). The interior isn't as spacious as the Z but it's finished off lurrrrrvely with lots of nice leather and brushed aluminium with an alcantera roof lining etc. The Stereo is Crap with a capital C, but when the car sounds like it does I can't imagine i'll be using it all that much. The driving position is really good and the clutch in particular is great.

Spoke to them today and they haven't got one yet but a chap I know there said they could be getting one in the next couple of days dependant on an insurance companies verdict. He will let me know asap so if it does come in I can have first dibs on it.
No problem with sending the bits off round the country though so long as postage is covered!
I need a new black plastic surround for the electric window switches on the drivers side, as mine is scratched to buggery!!

I test drove a 350Z last saturday and now want one.
My ideal colour would be black but i also like the blue.
Can anyone tell me what the sales percentage in order of popularity is in the UK?
The reason I ask this is that I cant find a black in the rite price/condition at the minute and im not a patient guy!
I have been to see a chilli pepper red one and he described it as a "rare" colour and I certainly havnt seen many, i wasnt that taken by the colour myself. Having looked at the nissan website the only colour that is not a 450 quid option is the red! I take it from this the colour is unpopular and noone wants it? Hes certainly been tying to sell it for a while.
I have also got the oppurtunity to buy a Gunmetal Grey Mar 05 GT Pack, 8200 miles (due a serice though, few stone chips and slight scratch to one alloy) for 21k. Seems a bloody good price to me even though its not my choice colour cold maybe trade it in for around that in 6 months for a 2006??
So if anyone can helkp me with the colour popularity/demand in the UK I could make a more informed decision.

Im my opinion the best thing to do is wait for the right car/colour to come along. I was adamant that I wanted a Kuro and waited for nearly 3 months for the car I wanted to come along. In the meantime I lost a £500 deposit on a blade that I talked myself into buying just cos I wanted a Zed, but when looking at it I was'nt happy with it and never would of been. I was happy to lose £500 and get the car I wanted! I was prepared to pay £22.5k for my Zed and it was buring a massive hole in my pocket! Then one Saturday morning I spotted a Zed on the Autotrader, Kuro, Sat Nav, 19k miles, Rays and Alezan all for £19995!!!!! I phoned the dealer (He had'nt even uploaded the picture yet!) asap went straight down from Brum to Stansted and came back in my dream Zed!!!So by waiting I saved myself £2.5!!!
THE RIGHT CAR AT THE RIGHT PRICE IS OUT THERE - JUST DEPENDS HOW LONG YOU WANT TO WAIT!!!

If its scrated on the plastic housing (that the switches fit into) then they are painted (yes the black plastic is painted and you can get special paint that is easy to spray)

imo it's rubbish. as long as the disks are for the proper brakes IE Brembos or non Brembos, they'll be the same
My thoughts exactly, as long as they are 4 pot it should'nt make a difference surely!! I was gonna order them anyway but i don't really want to spend $280 and 3 weeks to find out they don't fit!!!

I found some EBC discs ( GD7122's) on a uk site but they were out of stock. Found the same discs on a US site but they reckoned that they would'nt fit a right hand drive Zed???? Why would that be?? They has the same item number????
Anyone know the reason for this?

I'm with the AA so good idea to get them to check it out.
I dont mind paying a little bit extra from a dealer to be honest, the piece of mind for me is worth it.
350Znismo - you said there are a few mod companies my way - any idea who? ive had a look on Yell and online and cant seem to find anyone....

I put a deposit down on a car there of £500 which he said is refundable. Informed him that I had changed my mind and he refused to give me back my money. Been to trading standards and my credit card company is in the process of taking him to court!!!!

That's a concern. We won't endorse short-term cack suppliers here.
This needs confirming as a BIG problem which ostensibly it is.
I am in deserate need of front discs but no where has any!!! EBC is out of stock throughtout the UK till JUly, Black Diamond is the end of the year ( maybe) the only ones I can find are from nissan direct at £173 per disc plus VAT which is extortionate!! Need help asap as my discs + pads are seriously grinding!!!!
