i have to say that kta's girthy nob was the comfiest nob ive hever held! by far! fills the hand beautifully. now that's a recommendation if ever i heard it!

Tbh i haven't made a girth in stainless yet but will try and work it out (hmm a chance to be the first owner of a unique gearknob...? ) handbrake handle is something else i've been thinking about, it's on my very long list of to-do's but atm 'Real Life' is stopping me doing much at all (though for once its for the very best reasons.... )

i don't think a normal pack will fit inside no, will check when i get back home though ( in london on work for a couple of days atm )

poor man im really swaying towards stainless, i am intreagued though what other materials your thinkning of before i go for "last seasons fashion"? Starting work on something tonight so if all goes well, details to follow , will be a lightweight option though if it works... I could always do brass as well if someone wanted a different look, would be more expensive though as brass costs a lot more

bear with me while i work up the courage to buy People do seem to like the added weight of the stainless but i guess it is a personal decision, stainless is going to be less prone to scratches, (i do put a fine coat of lacquer on the aluminium to help protect it) but then aluminium is cheaper ... i realise i'm not helping with your decision much! You could always have a roadtrip to Cheshire and try them out first!
