  1. I've not been around here for quite a while now, apologies to anyone who pm'd and didn't get a reply, been a very busy year with lots of changes, moving house etc. I've had to stop making the gearknobs and sadly will also be having to put my zed up for sale shortly as well.

Thank you to everyone who supported me and purchased gearknobs and other items from me, I hope they continue to serve you well!

  2. Sorry guys not been around for a while, I make these with my Dad on his lathe but this year he was diagnosed with cancer and so we understandably had other things on our minds and had to stop making things, he's gone though treatment pretty well though so i hope i may be able to start making a few more soon, please do PM if you need anything and i shall do my best to get back to you.

  3. The 'Nismo' one? Theres a pic on page one of the Girth next to the OEM one but i haven't got a comparison pic of the nismo style one. It's the same height as the girth just narrower, I'll see if i can find my OEM one and get a piccie done.

Des anyone have a side by side photo with original gear knob? Thinking of either making mine look nice again or buying a KTA one, can't decide if I'll like the feel of them or not.

  4. Yes so long as you're careful you should be able to get the gearknob off ok, and then fitting the new one is easy as it just screws back on.

Though considering I test everyone i make on my car to check fit then i'm pretty sure my gearshaft is going to snap one day!

  5. Well so long as we don't mention it to nismo! :p:lol: An eps or dxf file preferably.

Could you do something like this on the top if I provide vector based artwork?

What is your prefferred format to work with?

  6. Hi KTA

I have just purchased a 350Z Roadster which has a badly scratched gear knob, so I am interested in the "Girth" style in Aluminium plus a tax disc holder also in Aluminium.

Can you tell me if the top of the gear knob can be etched with the gear layout, and give me prices for both items.

    Thanks

    Mike Flower

    PM sent :D

  7. I'm interested too. I read in the first post you could do them with the Tommy K symbol, any pictures of that one?

What's the turnaround speed on a stainless steel, 350z one?

    Cheers!

I've never had an order for one with the Tommy K symbol on so don't have a photo but you can see the logo engraved on one of the magnetic dishes to get an idea how it looks. Each one is made to order, current delivery time is about two weeks from date of order.

  8. was just wondering if you have any new designs for the the nismo style knob? loving the the look of it and realy need a new one for the z. i know i want the nismo one with the gear gate on the top but undecided on a graphic if at all. do you do make a stainless steel one thats been heated to have all thoses colours on?

Graphics wise if you can find something you want on it then i will see what i can do, a few people have had custom engravings done and they all seem pleased with the end result, drop me a pm if you like and we can discuss further. As far as heating it to change the colour, not tried it, sometimes they go darker when i'm working on them due to the heat but i think the temperatures needed to get the colours would probably be too hot for me to achieve easily!

  9. Glad you like it mate, thanks for the order! :teeth:

Did you ever get round to looking at making a ball gearknob?

Sorry most of my spare time atm is being taken up redecorating the house (workworkwork!) so haven't had much experimenting time, but i can definately do a rounder top to the gearknobs, it's trying to curve the bottom section of the ball that gets trickier!

Sorry i shoud of posted a week ago.

Got my 'Girth' gearknob last week. fitted very nicely, seems a bit lighter to change gear, even though it ways a ton!!

    Thank u vvvvery much!

Thanks Martin glad you like it, the stainless steel girth certainly is a solid piece, maybe the extra weight is actually helping with the smoothness of the gearchange :teeth:

  10. Just recieved and fitted a brushed version of Williams Gear Knob and have to say it really is very good. Lovely look and a great feel to it, albeit so so cold in this weather

Thnaks again William, really great job

Glad you like it Nick, thanks again for the order :teeth:
