Thanks - one thing, if replacing the standard brakes what exactly do you need to be buying? Am i right in thinking all i need to pick up are: discs & calipers? Do i need the lines as well? Hi folks, does anyone know the part number of the sat nav buttons on the birdview sat nav system? e.g. if you have a uk car and are unlucky enough to damage the buttons anyone know how to get a new unit. It is a doddle to install - just pops out and unclips, so presumably can be got without buying the whole unit!? Cheers Andrew

Hi there, i have read on the post that to add the GT Brembo brake system can cost anything over £1000. Has anyone tried ordering these from the USA? Surely they can be got there for a decent price? I want to add the Brembo gold ones normally seen on the GT model - i don't want to add something not on the original GT pack. Thanks folks Andrew

Thanks Michael. I have managed to get one of these units with the disks. I paid 260, which might seems steep, but i intend to go the whole hog and replace keys e.t.c. as well. I spoke to Nissan and got some seriously deluded quotes. 1200 for the whole thing + labour, followed by a twilight zone quote of 3,500+ if i just want the DVD reader. Phoned Clarion and they aren't allowed to sell 350 unit directly to public (maybe no surprise there). In any case, i got one, so i'll be following your footsteps. Thanks for all the tips.

One other question sorry - did you have to get any 'uk' cables with this. In other words if i was to get the xtrail unit but it didn't come with any cables, would that be a problem?.....or is it just a plug in / replace the unit only job? Thanks very much Andrew

Thanks for this - you have done this yourself already with an Xtrail unit like this? How is it going? I gave Nissan a call and they are tentative about installing something i purchase from elsewhere (e.g. xtrail unit). They quoted it takes the car away from 'factory standards'. How difficult was this? Is there any chance you would put together an instruction sheet for us 'importees' - i would pay you a few quid for this if i was able to do it and save on the labour costs?.... I'm just terrified to buy this and be left with something i can do nothing with. Thanks Andrew

Hi folks, how come whenever i read about air filters on the site they don't seem to be giving any extra HP? The Injen one on this site: http://www.ultimatez.com/shop/?shop=1&c ... 1&cat=182& claims to give 10.6 extra HP! Is this false? I would never buy it just for the sound. Hi there, can Nissan install the standard sat nav on uk cars onto an import (if they were so inclined)? Has anyone tried to persuade? I have a 'friend' who works for Nissan and got me the car cover for 50 quid. I am tempted to ask him to take this on for a few quid extra. Failing that, what is the best sat nav set up for the 350z? Sorry folks - probably easy answer but in handbook it just says refer to dealer and can only see items on forum about oil itself. Where the h*ll is the oil FILTER?! How do you change it?! Thanks very much Andrew

Hi there, i have an imported car with heated seats. Down at my left elbow, where the seat heater buttons are, there is another button. It has on it 'A/T' in the middle, 'SNOW' at the bottom and 'POWER' at the top. The snow button i know cuts the revs down for snow driving. What is the 'power' button? Extra power!!?

Sorry - one other thing. The vision bulbs website has colour temperatures against the D2R bulbs e.g 4200k. How do i match that up - presumably written on the old bulb? There are a number of possible 'temperatures' offered to get D2R in the drop down. Thanks very much Andrew

Thanks - when i remove the original does it say on it the type of bulb it is? I'm not sure now whether it is a halogen or xenon headlight. The working one seems to give a slightly blue tinge.....

About 15-16k. With the GT seats and 18"alloys. Their admin is pitiful would be a general comment. Don't assume they will ask for the correct paperwork when it is needed. It tends to be a 'we need this and that' at the last minute which can be a pain in the neck. Car is good though. Insurance is dear enough but i have 7 years no claims and had an FTO import with Bell for 5 years - so mine is down a good bit. Pay about 450
