  1. I'm 25 and Admiral are significantly cheaper than anyone else.

    new 350z

Personally I like sunset, azure and gunmetal. Of the three I'd go for sunset
  3. i would definatley do good deals for fellow members, so far now have done 20 new 06z's. now have my new company car 06 esibu gt with sat and tints, will post pics after weekend, so far clocked up 16 miles in a week. will be fitting clear reflectors soon. june gunna be z city here as 8 turning up next week. p.s every customer who enquires about a z i give one of the forum bus cards. Are you at Rowstock then? I wouldn't mind having a decent drive in a Z. Being a scruffy 25yr old I've got the "you can't afford this so stop wasting my time" treatment from every dealer I've been to recently (apart from Audi Basingstoke, who had an excellent salesman). I got to drive a grand total of about 5 minutes when I took a MY06 out from Nissan Basingstoke. Drives me insane Been on a test drive marathon the past month and the Z is the only car leaving me with the 'grin factor', I'd just like to take the darn thing out and along a dual carridgeway/motorway a little as I do a lot of motorway miles and want to be reasonably confident it's not going to drive me mad after a few months
  4. Same here, (well I've not bought one yet, but very soon ) 25. Insurance before a few years NCB and <25 was ludicrous Saw two on the way round the '25 this morning, hope they aren't becoming common
  5. Didn't recognise it at first, but it was a chilli red with two white stripes going up over the car. Looked quite nice actually
  6. That's a decent price, where from? If you don't mind me asking

    Insurance

Admiral have given me my best quote so far. £1350 (25 2years no claims). Adding my girlfriend as a named driver (24) took it down to £1080. Not that she's going ever take it beyond the driveway, but still
  8. I wouldn't, had my test drive last weekend but I've got to wait a few months to scrabble the money together for my Z, I've taken to following them and opening my windows (to hear that noise!) if I spot them on the roads and spending hours reading owner's club forums when I should doing other things....speaking of which.....
  9. Seen it a couple of times now, wondered if the owner was on here :>
  10. Still got a stupid grin on my face Was a 2006 300PS black GT. Rx8 wasn't even close to the drive or interior quality. Ooh, and the noise..mmm
  11. Ha ha 350z wins by a huge margin, just got to wait a month or so while I scrape the cash together. What an awesome machine, absolutely loved it :>
  12. Well, just been out in the RX8. Was a bit dissapointed. Engine sounded lively and interesting, but the lack of torque really showed. Just didn't have that sports car feel I was expecting. Brakes were awful, I'm a bit spoiled in that department coming from a BM but still, expected better, spongy and yuck. Comfy and decent interior, room in the back was adequate. Didn't leave me with a big grin on my face Definitely feels like the 'compromise coupe' someone mentioned earlier. Off out in the 350 in an hour or so, crunch time, I'm expecting it to give that big smile I've been looking for :>
  13. I heard the doors were a bit of a pain in car parks...did have a poke round one of the Evolve special editions the other day and was quite impressed overall, not sure about the odd handbrake and shiny black plastic trim mind. After watching the Fifth Gear shootout (posted in video forum) I don't think I'm going to be able to resist the Z though.
  14. Found this while poking around looking for Z stuff...thought it was a good watch! http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid ... 751&q=350z
  15. Y. List your head thoughts. RX is cheaper to buy, cheaper to insure, and has 4 seats, and is potentially a bit hairdresser. As has been said on here, the Z looks and sounds like a proper man's sports car Will have the test drive next week and then I'll know for sure.
  16. Well, got back-to-back test drives next weekend, RX-8 and 350z, this will be the acid test. Heart wants 350z, head wants rx8, decisions decisions
  17. Nikos, I did look at your ad, exactly what I'm after but not for another few months I'm afraid
  18. Oh I'm not too fussed what it is, I have a petrol card from work, but I have XX,000 miles of personal miles deducted PA from my salary. All they want is the quoted combined MPG to calculate this. I'm quite sure I won't be getting much more than 20mpg, but I'll only be paying for what's in the manual
  19. So...JDM isn't much of an issue apart from insurance, good. I was nosing around the Nissan site earlier and was susprised to see a combined MPG of 32.5 stated! Can someone look up the stated figure in their handbook, as that is the figure my personal fuel deduction is taken from. If it really is 32.5 then that's sealed the deal for me :>
  20. Thanks, just what I was looking for. No doubt I will be posting more on here when I come to buy one. Got a test drive booked for this Saturday, can't wait
  21. Had a quick flick through some stuff about JDMs. What are the implications on running costs? I know someone who had an accident in his Jap import Subaru and now the car is off the road for months while parts are shipped over. Excuse all the questions, but I've kind of fallen in love with the idea of owning one but I'd like to work out all the details! Cheers
  22. So about prices....I see a lot of ads for cars such as : 2003 52 Reg NISSAN 350Z 3.5 V63 Doors, Manual, Coupe, Petrol, 15,000 miles. ABS, Adjustable seats, Adjustable steering column/wheel, Air conditioning, Alloy wheels, Central locking, Climate control, Computer, Driver airbag, Electric mirrors, Electric windows, Foglights, Immobiliser, Passenger airbag, Power assisted steering, Side airbags, Radio/CD Multichanger, Sports seats, Anti theft system, CD, Cloth upholstery, Colour coding - Body, Cruise control, Head restraints, Metallic paintwork, Radio/CD. XENON HEADLAMPS At about the £16-18k range, which is what I'd be looking at. For the mileage, performance and looks, that seems like a bargain, and bargains always make me suspicious What sorta things should I be looking out for?
  23. Cheers, Was looking at the 06 Imprezas the other day with a colleague and I thought they had actually become almost tasteful (in silver/silver at least), but I agree, the interior was awful, especially coming from a bm. Do like the interior of the TT and the general looks, but the 350Z just looks vastly better. I travel a lot for work (I guess 20-25k a year), so I want something that's a bit of fun but comfortable on the motorways. Can't fault my 3 compact for the fun factor (ok it's only a 1.8, but insurance!), got the big M alloys on it and have a great time on the back roads. I've hit 25now and got some NCB hence I'm looking to move up to something with a bit more punch, and the 350z certainly seems to fit the bill in that regard. Think I will book a test drive and see what all the fuss is about
  24. I'll be in the market for a new car this summer, and been looking around at various options. Was gunning for a Z4 but I've just had my 1st service on my 316ti and, to put it bluntly, my ass hurts Was considering S2000, TT (225), Z4 (2.5/3.0), Impreza WRX...then I looked up prices on the 350Z. It's a blinding looking machine and I've heard only good things about it. The performance on paper is scorching and...well...was wondering why they are so cheap! I know they guzzle gas a little, but I'm on a petrol card so not too fussed. What are the servicing intervals/costs like? Jap import or UK model? Bit of a noob to the whole Nissan scene so I don't have a clue. Oh, and hi
