250 quid
230 quid
try more like 150 tops!!!! for a P2!
a P3 could be more like 280 quid , but not a P2
RIP-OFF me thinks
(P2 = 2 years or 18000miles )
Yeah thats not good!
I found a lot of the Nissan Chain dealerships...... seemed to price fix at around the £240 price (so this may well be one of the ones that you have been quoted)
On shopping around, I got down to the figure of £140 so pays to shop around...... I told the the dealership that I could get much cheaper so they knew that I knew they were ripping us off!

Hello all, thanks to all those that have PMed me. I have responded to Sarnies PM and i have apologised to him too. Just want to say that is the end to it. I have been wrong too in this and just want you all to know this. Maybe i am a little sensitive at times but the last couple of years of my life have not been easy with the divorce and all. But i am here to stay. Chris i have read your post and you raise a lot of good points which i think warrant consideration. So i am sorry Sarnie
I think a group hug is required and a drive out.
Again thanks to all for your supportive posts and pm's
Good man,
Good to have you back, mate
Good to see this got sorted out chaps!
Now lets all get back to sorting drive outs and talking about lovely cars!

Lets just put it all down to the fact that we NEED another good drive out soon!
Zedrush, your ability to remember girly lines from films is worrying!

Question...
Is the badge purely a "stick-on", with no location boss for the badge? and is the body painted beneath the badge?
No the badges have two location studs below...... definitely as I got hold of some spare badges for projects.
Body is painted though as far as I know! .... Would corrode otherwise wouldn't it?

That was a joke before the lynchmob arrive
Sarnie, there is NO lynchmob, so please don't make out there is!
(and if you do really believe that then you need to PM me
)
As for Beavis, I think a lot of its already been said. I don't think that you need to go. I just think that you both chalk this one down to differing views on the way you both handle things and get on with things.
You both a part of this place and would be a shame to loose anyone over this.....

cheers guys. £30 grrr they are only little pieces of metal. still will nip out at lunch.
Yeah that included them fitting em......

A while ago I got my car hung up on a verge and it damaged the black lip on the front of the car.
I had it off this weekend and got it mainly back into shape but noticed I have lost several of the little metal clips on the bottom. It is these mainly that retain the contact betweent the lip and the body work.
Anyone know what these are called and where i can buy some?
Thanks.
Don't know exactly what they are called (probably something like aero package retaining clips) but any nissan dealer worth their salt should know. When mine was last in for service, they noticed I had some missing and sorted them for me. Was about £30 all in...... not that cheap for plastic clips, but there you go!

I'm on XP Pro. I haven't really changed anything. It seems as if the card itself doesn't get recognised by XP (as when it was recognised, in the same fashion as when you plug in USB stuff) you got the little popups saying the card is ready to be used etc. Now it doesn't.
Tried to reinstall drvers, and nothign happened, still card not "seen" by XP.
Might sound like a daft suggestion, but when you upgraded drivers, did you do so over the top of the existing ones?
I would suggest removing all versions of the drivers, hopefully by doing a full uninstall to remove any reference. Then I would reboot and start as if from fresh, installing your latest drivers then putting card in etc......
Might have just got its knickers in twist if you did "upgrade" rather than removal of old first. Might sound daft, but for example thats what you need to do on the Netgear PCMCIA stuff......
Worth a try?

hmm spoken too early
card, when inserted into the laptop slot now doesn't get recognised and instead of the sound you hear (same as when plugging in USB devices) when plugging it in, you now hear a sound that is the same sound as when you unplug it, but done it twice. Basically the card doesn't get recognised by Windows. weird!!
I assume you have done a search for the latest drivers for the card, rather than just the ones it came with etc?
-
Yeah thats the bottom line, to see those sort of gains you need to have a remap specifically for it!
Not much good otherwise.....

How much for the paving effect Nismo Tim?

Locked now as question was answered!

i mean the inside lane, outside is on the left
But yes i know what you mean, it just never makes sense to call it the outside lane as it is clearly on the inside of the road/motorway
What!
You weirdo!
Clearly as we drive on the left, and overtake on the right then its the outside! You don't take into account the "other" side of the motorway.
Stop wriggling out of it...... there is no fast lane

Ian,
Where is the link to where you actually bought them for and model no's etc please?
The 1st Auto main page is just coming up blank at the mo!
20" x 1 & 18" x 2
After refitting them properly, I didn't push them into the arm hard enough
They now work a treat.
I have taken some pics but my gallery is full, so will get them hosted elsewhere over the week-end.
They do seem to work better than the old ones, but they were on the way out for a few weeks.
I'm not sure if they are worth the £33 for a set of 3 but, I'm not sure how much the PIAA ones are ?
Ian
Ah ok, Firefox doesn't like that site. Had to open in Explorer

Thanks Jacko, just booked it in , and they are the only dealer near me so i did not ask the question.
Fair enough, but you tell em that this is what you are expectin as other members of this forum is paying that in other dealers!
Also, don't forget your forum discount.....
20%
PM me for details etc.

Got P2 service next week at holdcrofts, its done 9200 miles and i am supplying the oil (amsoil). Any idea of cost? I feel the handbrake needs adjusting, anybody got anything else i should get checked out. Car is exactly 2 years old.
And they wont be cleaning it.
Had mine for about £140 without oil with lots of ringing around. I think Val got down to about £130 ish?
So that gives you a "good" figure.....

I have friends in san fran and LA so staying there. its a 1000 mile trip so as long as we do 100 miles a day we are sweet. But i want a good day the 1st day!

Hi People...
I'm going on a road trip across the USA in 2 weeks, from Seattle to LA.
Was wondering if any of you guys know 350z after markey companies en route from seattle to LA. Would like to have a look at the kits, after market bits etc...
Cheers
Hi mate, thats one of the things I fancy doing this year as got no major plans for summer hols.
How much have you looked into it etc, whats the route and distances involved...... guess was wondering whether doable etc without being knackered. I want to do it but stop in few places along way and enjoy some of the places.
What are you hiring to drive in? Would have to be a big convertible!
PM me if you want with further details?
-
hi guys want an exhaust
how to you rate the dc range headers & exhaust
thanks
Hi mate,
I have the DC cat back dual exhaust system...... not the headers though. With just the exhaust, it sounds lovely! Really deep burble at low revs then a proper bark at higher revs. Also not too boomy on motorways as my daily drive!
I love it, not the best finished end pipes in the world, they are just round and big, but then again its not the most expensive system in the world either.
I know when Evo had the headers on, they said the sound was fantastic..... not sure you need them though, you not going to get a massive performance increase etc....
Anyway, lots of the other guys have heard it on the drive out, so sure there will be some other comments......

@ Jacko - Which Jersey are you refering to?
The CSC signed one mate. Thats who I work for.......

Hi mate,
So whos that then?

Affirmative, Captain!!

As Jacko says, undertaking is undertaking. No matter what the instance it is still illegal however a lot of people do it. I had to do it last weekend when someone was going at 50 on the A1m in the fast lane!
But just to be pedantic, there is NO fast lane.......its both the same speed, thats the point. You mean outside lane

Yet another jealous rep who has to spend his time in someone else's car......
I'd have been tempted to stop at first opportunity, probably next services and report him to police.....
Thats just stupid, no matter what...... could have killed you. I mean, if you had swerved, very easy to hit reservation, flip etc......
Where are the motorway traffic cops when you need em!
