  1. Will the ipod hack give me aux on the back? what would you recommend i use to add a2dp audio?
  2. Would the schosche Motormouth 2 work with the 350Z Bose system? Where is the aux input on non Sat Nav facelift models of UK cars?
  3. This is my reasoning for the save in fuel economy. If the vehicle isn't constantly braking itself, its using less power from the engine. Also it isn't restricting acceleration constantly which is countered by your right foot having to bring the speed back up following its intervention all the time. I would also throw in an outside of the box train of thought that its also safer, heres why? Car threatens to bite you, you back off. With the knowledge there isnt a nanny watching you, it actually serves the purpose of teaching you to respect the car and drive to the conditions.
  4. I am trying to locate the new owner of my old car. Details are below. 2006 Azure Blue Sat Nav model reg ending VSZ
  5. Hi, I am looking to buy another Z this weekend, however. I dont think the Sat Nav models stream Blutooth audio, so im considering a non sat nav and adding an IPAD Mini in the Cubby. Anyone else dont this? seen a 7in tablet on the net before but ipad is slightly bigger. I know from searching the forum that you cannot Bluetooth stream using the Nissan Bluetooth, however is there anything i can add to the standard system to add this feature. I just want a module or something that will add bluetooth phone and Blutooth streaming functionality so that i can integrate an iPad Mini with the system. I have looked in the past at things like the IO Play but im not sure if this would work in the Z with the Bose. Can anyone help with this? I would also like to know if anyone has yet tried to install an ipad mini into the cubby area? also what are the measurements for the Factory Nav display? do you think an ipad would fit here? All Help Gratefully Received. Cars im considering are 2006 or 2007 Facelift Models, was the feature ever added from the factory? what year? Mark
  6. Ok i know some will hate this idea but i will start by saying this is not for those who value safety and its intended for people who want to experience the true thrill of the car for experimentation purposes only. Its been a few years since i had my 350Z but this mod transformed the car and for me seemed to improve all aspects of the driving experience by fully removing the traction control interference felt when attempting to push the limits of the car. Im sure many already know that simply turning off the traction control actually doesnt fully disengage the system and from memory, anytime i tried to drift the car it seemed to turn itself back on again. This is what i found that made the difference. Lift up the center console and look near the gearstick for a small sensor labeled Bosch. (about the size of a matchbox) and simply unplug the loom that goes into this. When you turn on your car you will now see a permanent icon on the dash warning that the traction control is now off, however the ABS is still fully engaged. This 5 minute mod seemed to improve not only acceleration and cornering but it also made the car more predictable to drive and for some reason i also saw a small improvement in fuel economy although this could be subjective. Give it a try and let me know what you think. Hope you like the difference. I certainly did, it made the car for me.
  7. blimey what a welcome! Do i really have to answer to all of that. I am not selling anything, i might as well be for all the flack for what started as an opinion on something i purchased on ebay ages ago. If this is what someone should expect then you can keep your little club to yourselves. I said in one of my posts, i like the driving, not the arguing and childish prove yourself tactics. Some of you guys should be ashamed. personally, ive been posting here now for a few weeks and already im getting bored with the constant flack, is this what the internet has become about. Im going out for a drive. seeya.
  8. lol i can see your point hehe, but ive actually been looking on this forum for a while but haven't been totally motivated to register as its not got as much activity yet as some of the other forums and news groups out there. It was only when i saw the topic and recognised the seller that i felt that i should say something. I'd have done the same for you too. I don't think its fair the flaming people get for something thats quite obviously not aimed at the tech savvy user. if 90% of people can find things out for themselves then that still leaves 10% for that guy to sell to, and 10% that would still see it as good value (i include myself in that) although now i'd have found out for myself, but at the time there was nobody prepared to show me step by step what and where to make the mod. Im just greatful i can now enjoy my car. For me the driving is the real experience, not the talking about it. Im past the constant upgrading patch in my life i now just want to enjoy what i have to the max. My other reasons for not posting much on here is im now at work, my internet at home is restricted to dialup as i cannot get broadband so my time here is also very restricted. Not that i have to justify my being here lol.
  9. i think that even if this guy hasn't made his millions with this information he has succeeded in bringing its information back into the spotlight here. So for that he deserves to be applauded hehehe . Now all and sundry can get the results for themselves for free although, i can still see the value that he was charging for as ive still got my car. Maybe im just used to spending money for positive gains i can notice. I still see it as a bargain. Now everyones happy
  10. no believe it or not its not me selling it lol. I don't think i could be bothered selling something like that on ebay, (obviously it doesn't make many friends lol) but it was good info. anyway, i don't know if the results are for everyone anyway as he is aiming at a very small area of the market with the info. For me it came at the right time as to be honest i found the car a bit dissapointing. My old car was a very highly tuned mini cooper s and the feedback that i was used to was far in excess of what i was getting from the Z (and was considering selling it, within the first 2 months of ownership). The power delivery was better too and i was really amazed just how much the car was being artificially ruined by the stability control. For me the results were a godsend and as a result have given me the inclination to go for the APS twin turbo kit in the next few weeks. Ive only had my car for 6 months now so you should be seeing a bit more of me here.
  11. oh yeah and ive just looked at that information posted on the link. For all that hassle that will only partially disengage the system (tried it already) its just an automatic way of pressing the button with a load of stress thrown into the mix. Simpler for the same result, press the button.
  12. i would but i paid good money for the information and its not very fair on the poor guy who you are flaming. Ive seen far worse on ebay lol and as you rightly said its freely available on the net anyway. Not wanting to rub anyone up the wrong way but he wants £45 for gods sake its a £25000 car, £45 is a drop in the ocean if this is what you really want to do. I looked at some forums and took some of my car apart before just deciding to buy the info for myself as i didn't want to mess everything up by rushing in ham fisted when i didn't really have a clue and although people said it could be done, none were prepared to guarantee it 100%. Id be paranoid about faulty airbags and stuff. Not worth it for saving £45 .
  13. thats far more complicated than the instructions i got. See worth the money, if you value a stress free life at just £45.
