  1. Just noticed that my wing mirror has a slight 'wobble' and could do with tightening...

This means removing the glass from the unit to get to the inner bolt..

A numpty question but not sure how and from which side to prise the mirror off to get behind (did a search) as dont want to break it

    Any help gratefully received

    Cheers

If I remember corectly tou prise it up from the bottom and it has 2 tags at the top which then slot out.

  2. Hi guys, thanks for the replys.

Sorry i ant replied till now but ive been away.

I'll try and have a look at both then.

When the satnav is on say on the kenwood, are you still able to listen to music or the radio at the same time?

yes you can and when you use the function button you can control the cd/ipod etc without having to change screen

  3. Sad to hear of the death of Henry Cooper.

He was a real hero of my Dad's, as he also boxed and was from south east London.

Absolute legend, 3 Lonsdale belts and 2 times winner of sports personality of the year.

"Henrys hammer" :boxing: will be sorely missed and for those who might not know, he put Ali on the floor! :boxing:

  4. I have one  no splits or anything like that.

Fitted pretty well when we dry tested it but I went with a different spoiler in the end.

It appears to be quite well made and only needs a small amount of work before priming.

Send me a pm if your interested.

  5. I fitted a Kenwood dnx5220 last weekend, previously had an Alpine w200r and have to say that I prefer the sound from the Kenwood.

Garmin satnav on the dnx works well and I had one hooked up to my Alpine so I'm used to it.

Bluetooth is very good and works well with my iphone.

One problem I am having is the ipod connection, sometimes it reads the ipod and everything works. Other times it won't see it at all.

Might be the aftermarket lead though.

  6. Whilst sitting on my drive, left car ticking over while I played around at fitting my new head unit.

Got a wiff of antifreeze so got out, only to find coolant running down the drive and pouring out the header tank :scare:

Fortunately this had only just happened, so switched off straight away.

Found out that my cooling fans had packed up and after ringing round and contacting zmanalex realised they are an arm and a leg to buy.

So stripped them down today, found that the brushes had seized, so cleaned everything up and hey presto all working again.

Loads of meat left on the brushes and as I believe this is a common problem thought I would share this.

Before thinking of buying new motors, get them stripped and cleaned.
