  1. Thanks mate! I'll try not to embarass you all at any shows I go to with you all!! :teeth:

    Roll on V6NOS MkII!!!

Looking forward to seeing it buddy. :)

Personal plates are the way ahead... :teeth:

  2. Thanks mate!!

I do like modifying cars but I can't stand all the Saxo's and Corsa's you see about with their HUGE kits and 1.2 engines but I would like to create something similar to the Cougar with the Z....something classy but still practical and fun to drive.

With you on that one. Here's to a success. :D

  3. brilliant stuff - is that a Puma..?

Not too good with rotary wing (40,000 parts flying in loose formation) I had an interview a while with GKN Westland, and it was nice to see the Apache and all that.

Ended up working for BAE, so now end up looking at mostly fixed wing stuff :)

    Nice pics though matey :D

It is indeed a Puma. Crazy to think I fly around in a 35 year old helicopter!!!

Tell me about it, we fly close fomation on NVG's (Night vision goggles) at night 50 feet over the water. Not a lot of room for error... :scare:

Trying to make a move aver to SAR (Search and Rescue), seems like I spend far to mush time in warmer climates on this beast!!

What do you do for BAE, if you dont mind me asking?

  4. Looks to me like you deffinatly achived subtle and classy. :)

Im not really a fan of those, but that is deffinatly the nicest I have seen.

Looks like a very nice ice install, especially when you have done most of the work. :bangin:

I take it you will be doing something similar to the Z?

  5. My alloys are starting to get a bit worse for wear.

Has anyone else had a problem with what looks like the laquor stating to come off in places. Also a couple of the wheels were a little curbed when I bought her.

Once the weather starts to improve in thinking i should get them restored or what ever they do to them.

Anyone had eny experience with that sort of thing? Cost? Firms? etc...

  6. Trust me when I say 'the plane will not take off'.

    0 airspeed = 0 lift.

When you run on a treadmill you remain stationary with reference to the air around you. Same as the plane. It remains effectivly stationary to the air, hence no lift, no matter how fast the engine makes it go , the moving ground counteracts it. No airflow, no lift.

Unless of course it was a harrier, and had some kind of vertical thurst!!

  7. Put me down it. Looks good.

Due to my job (RAF) it may be subject to change at short notice. It that ok? Sorry.

Is the plan to meet somewhere and arrive all together? If that's the case who ever is in the south west area we could meet and cruse up together.

    Are we taking other halfs?

  8. An intresting question.

Well as im a fly boy for her Majesty (helicopters) I can quiet honestly say the plane is going nowhere fast.

Due to the conveuir belt matching the aircraft speed, the airspeed of the plane would be 0, even though the wheels speed would be huge. therefore no airflow over the wings=no lift at all.

Of course there is wind to take into acount, asuming that the plane is facing into wind, which is the norm for any takeoff and landing (although not essentual). This would provide a minute amount of lift (irrelevent if you are talking about anything bigger than a microlite though!!

God, and here is me trying to get away from work.

I'll dig out some pics if anyone is interested.

  9. What are your thoughts on this?

I like what they have done here, without doubt the best looking Evo ever.

A lot to play with and still room for the kids!

  10. I bought mine back in September. Origonaly wanted a black one with black leather. Only when I actually saw the Gunmetal did I acctually decide that was the one. :teeth:

Also I was dead set against the alzan interior. Then found a nice gunmetal with the alzan at a great price, with the thought of just retrimming.

After a few days the alzan really grew on me, now I think it complements the car really well and when I see a black interior it seems a little ordinary.

All about personal taste, as im always having the argument with my best mate (scobby driver).
