Check tyre pressures firstly - the pdi should of done this!

 

Tonneau Cover in boot reduces allot of cabin noise Have u got 1?

 

If problem still persists increase bose volume

Tyre pressure as recommended,no tonneau cover(may have to buy one if it makes that much difference ? ) no bose got a Sony fitted now LOL perhaps a louder silencer will sort it .?

Hi all ,had the Z a week now and just getting used to it the only complaint I have is excessive tyre noise (well I think its tyre noise, ) and a bit of resonance through the cabin...it is running bridgestone potenza tyres..Is this normal ? if so anybody fitted any brand of tyres that cuts this noise down ?

Other than that it is a brill car ,a bit loose on the back end in this damp weather but thats only to be expected ,any comments gratefully received Cheers Tim

hi I have just bought an import 350Z. .it is an original 2002 model..on close inspection it is like NEW underneath..I can only put this down to the Japanese market cars not seeing any salty roads !!

Before I purchased this particular car ,I viewed a 2005 UK car that looked like it had been at the bottom of the sea for 10 years...so really it is down to individual cars available on the used market and you cant throw a blanket on condition despite where the car was first purchased new.

I also have bought in the past a Misubishi GTO also a Jap import that was 10 years old and again the bodywork was like new, so I wouldnt hold back buying an import if the price is right along with condition.., as after all they all came from the same factory !! just my thoughts Cheers Tim

Gone and done the deed this morning .., bought a Sunset orange Z...Jap spec with 12K on the clock manual version..really chuffed with it !! had a bit of a moment in the frosty condtions on the way back home though !LOL !! I can only find one fault with it the high beam warning light doesnt work .anyone any idea about getting the speedo out to have a look at the bulb or led ?? cheers Tim

Unfortunately NO.... things transpired against me at my business and couldnt spare the time to make a 200 mile round trip..but theres still the weekend (provided no one else has bought it !! ) I will keep you informed on progress though ,and thanks for asking//. cheers Tim

Hi All ,decided finally to get the wallet out and buy a car,looking at a JDM 2003 model low miles apparently (arnt they all !! LOL ) 11000 miles ... it is an automatic ...has anyone had any experience with an auto Z ?? is it a proper auto or a tiptronic type shift ? also any tips what to look out for problem wise on these cars ? I own a JDM and thought I should change it as we have had a new baby and wanted a more practical car and what I can only descibe as the 'conspiracy' by the UK franchised dealers is shocking.

 

 

the majority of them were not even interested in giving me a px, telling me come back when you have sold it!

 

the others were just looking for excuses to insult me with a px price - 'no-one wants a JDM', 'Japanese service history and independedent dealers doesnt count,we will have to price it as no SH' - exactly why would I have it services at a franchised dealer????

 

so I am hanging onto it, buy it cheap, enjoy it, service it independently, and sell it on cheap
