yes best to have a word and see if you feel confident with the mechanic who will work on your car,at main dealers its often difficult or impossible to find out who they will let loose on your pride and joy..!

Why dont you just take it to an independant garage that you trust, better than going to main dealers all the time it wont affect the warranty as long as the garage is vat registered and genuine parts are used

yes I knew that ,but I tried 3 different band expanders on mine and nothing worked I know they probably work OK on some systems but not on mine and several other people I know with how cheap head units are nowdays its not much more to band a new unit in

My import was the same ,just junked the head unit in the end..and replaced with a Sony item..The Bose units arent very good anyway Hello by the Way

Comes with a 3M sticky back. Just need tom use a hair dryer (I used the misses cos I've got no hair) to warm the chrome strip up to make it more pliable for the acute bends. Took 20 mins in all. Also you use a hole pack to do the horizontal bars. If you wanted to do the verticsal bits inbetween you would need another pack. Halfords do two different widths. Use the wider one. 4.5mm I think. Stay clear of the other stuff which they sell. Japanese instructions only sounds good , a quick trip down to a Halfords looks on the cards

like M13KYF said Jap Sat Nav useless in UK , someone advertises converting it but it costs in excess of £800 just junk it and buy aftermarket one..I did same with head unit .. got any photos of your car? post em up...
