  1. As with every other car, of course, there are going to be various problems. Normally your dealer would be able to tell you what they are.

But, in order to help you get your issues resolved more quickly, we at 350z-uk.com are providing whatever information we can find for free in order to get your car as good as it should be, and to ensure that your dealer is able to fix the problems that you know exists.

    Creaky Back End

    Squeaky Seats

there is now a UK TSB for this too, so your dealer should be able to fix it

    Squeaky Brakes

it helps spraying meguiars alloy cleaner on the brake calipers so that it reaches where the pads sit, then hose between the pads and calipers.

Left Speaker Cutting out on CD Play

Quick fix until it's sorted under Warranty is to thump the Passenger Knee pad very hard near the top.

    Skipping CDs

a known issue, dealer should be able to get you a replacement head-unit. Don't accept refurbished units, as they will skip again. Ask for units coming from Holland.

    Paint Chipping

Quite possibly the biggest single annoyance for 350Z owners Worldwide (see the Class Action Suit against Nissan in the US for this same issue). The Paint Quality of the Z is not great.. stone chips and gentle taps near the fuel filler cap cause the paint to fall off. Nissan of course publically deny the issue, saying that all modern cars have this issue (due to Water Based Paint) and that the large flat design of the front bumper and aggressive driving are the cause.. google "paint protection film" for a solution, at your expenses though.

Gas Struts do not Support Rear Hatch

some owners have had these upgraded under warranty, so ask.

Rear Hatch release button requires multiple presses

quick fix is to put a couple of felt pads at the tip of the spring mechanism and the rubber pads of the hatch that connect, when closed, to the rear bumper.

    Handbrake Adjustment required

Even the owners manual, supplied with the car, mentions this particular nuisance. Get it adjusted dy the dealer.

    Satellite Navigation Volume

This little beauty can result in the Sat Nav and the Phone kit having conversations between themselves, and people three or four cars back will be able to hear that you've missed your turning :)
