  1. Hi Rich Just sending you a reminder as suggested. Thank you PS. I think I will get some metal adhesive and just dabbing some along where the welds have broken and bending it back into shape gently with a grip wrench and then use some clamps to keep it in place whilst the adhesive dries. The existing welds don’t like like a spot weld to me nor does it look like a rivet so I think it might be an adhesive from factory.
  2. Hi Rich Do you have a picture? The welds are starting to come away on mine and think adding cable ties as a temporary solution is a good idea. Thanks Colin
  3. Hi - I have the same issue. I see this in an old post so I am trying my luck Did you get this resolved in the end?
  4. Hi all, I was testing the roof today ready for spring and noticed the strut that holds some fabric tight above your head is twisted and the welds are coming away. Anyone else faced a similar issue and had it fixed?
  5. A quick update. Took it back to the fitter. There was a small leak coming from one of the joints. The clamp just needed to be loosened, rotated a bit and re-tightened and then all was good. Happy now
  6. Not at all. I went somewhere that has a lot of great reviews. They only fit and fix exhausts. He had to a weld a new flange on the y pipe as the existing flange was disintegrating. The rest of the y pipe and cats were ok but we both agreed it was too much of a risk to attempt undoing any of the bolts to replace the y pipe in case it damaged the cats.
  7. I got my scorpion with rolled tips based on your posts and photos Your car looks sweet. Thanks for your photos / advice. I will let you know how I get on. After reading around it might just be condensation around the joint and dripping off from vibrations and heat from exhaust but will know for sure tomorrow. Here is one of the websites I am referring to: https://forum.miata.net/vb/showthread.php?t=145408
  8. Hi all, I had a Scorpion Exhaust with rolled tips fitted yesterday by my local power flow exhaust specialist. It looks and sounds lovely. However when I got home and inspected, some of the joints are leaking water/moisture (hard to tell if gas escaping). I see exhaust paste has dripped all over the place. I am taking it back Monday for them to rectify. Is this normal for new slip joint exhausts? Has anyone else had a similar issue? Any advice for when I take the car back to the exhaust specialist? Thanks Colin
