Quick question, going through the booking process now, I presume the "Display your car addon" Is that what I need to fill out to allow my car to join the 350z-uk stand? I know its a bit of a stupid question but I dont want to end up putting it in for a show and shine as its far from perfect lol

The pet project is starting to make a bit of progress now I took the car down to the guys at Bodyworks in Camberley to get the damaged boot repaired and I decided to go for the 2 tone paint. I also got a cheapo fibreglass/ carbon mix ducktail and got that slapped on the car at the same time. End result is I'm much happier with how the car looks now and there are no more ugly holes or dents in my boot lid, while they were fixing the dents I also had the rear wiper hole welded and smoothed over. Next on the list is to get some fresh rotors and pads fitted upfront so when I stop I don't sound like I'm running over a pig lol Im also hoping to have a crack at skinning my wing mirrors in carbon to tie them in with the rear spoiler Before: After:

If you have pics any where that would be awesome, or a link to your build thread I have a 3d printer and a small CNC so i can make adaptors or new wing supports for the wing mounts its more how the wing actually looks when its fitted to the car. Its hard to gauge a proper view from generic images as they just show you one angle. I don't want it to look too small or big either its a tricky choice. **edit, I have had a butchers through your build topic, most of the pics wont display but I did find a few, its a nice looking wing but a bit beyond my grasp at present with import costs and duty etc. Also your 350 is a stunner **

I've been thinking and I've decided that I want to fit some kind of BGW to my 350Z. I've seen the odd post on FB and about the internet about what people have fitted but I wanted to know if anyone on here had fitted a wing to their 350 and what sort of problems they had if any. As much as I like some of the premium brands my pockets aren't that deep mainly as i have to get some bodywork done on my hatch at the same time to make it look presentable. From my own personal digging I've narrowed down the following options, going from cheapest upwards. First up is ye ole faithful ebay job, now my main fears here are quality and the lack of any kind of reasonable returns process (as buying from china) now the wing is good value at approx £220 shipped but i fear its "too cheap" if you know what i mean. Hmm, not entirely sure how to start this post, but long of the sort of it I bought a 350z which was soso as far as value over quality. I probably should have viewed with less rose tinted glasses but hey that just hindsight now so now point In spilling milk over it, not to mention its a 14yr old car so its bound to have issues one way or another. So I bought a 350z all seemed good up front, good service history reasonable after market parts etc. So I decided to get the brake lines upgraded to goodridge lines (mechanic i had to swap the line over said one of the rubber hoses fell out of the fixing so I'm lucky i didn't end up in a bush or worse) and got some fresh trans and gearbox oil in all OEM. So far so good ... However the previous owner had done a rather shadey job (to be polite) of installing the rear wing (some cheapie fibreglass jobbie) which is now only held on with 2 fixings, what I found once removing the wing was rather disturbing Of the holes that were actually drilled 2 of the 3 were badly dented and the award on them was shocking. It was literally held on with a random selection of course thread fixings ..... Oh the joy of second hand "projects". I suppose my main issue is I'm quite OCD so these things bother me more than most. I mean when you spend good money on a car you don't expect to be doing boring expensive stuff when it was sold to be in a better state than it was, but as I said earlier it's just a live and learn thing. I just want to make it the beauty she deserves to be - Although my wallet hates me for it lol. So for now I've popped some rubber bungs in the holes to reduce any water issues while I consider options moving forward. Anyway my current issues my boot is shagged as it is and it needs repairing or replacing. My thoughts are to get a BGW and bolt that to the boot but my main issue is do I colour match the original silver or do I go gloss black and match the A pullers? I bashed out a quick Photoshop tweek and i reckon if i could match it with a carbon hood it should look the part. ummm guys i have a bit of a problem, went to start the 350 today and my battery is TOAST, it was a bit limpy before but i managed to charge it and bring it back for a while, but its now to the point where the charger refuses to even charge it RIP battery and another hit for the wallet ......... sigh...

How about we try and gather around 11.30 ish. Should be good to meet some local members. Doesn't have to include splashing out on food or anything but the more the merrier

Got my zed booked in to get some fresh braided lines fitted on Sunday ( was supposed to be tomorrow, but got pushed back) which is a pain. So would have to be a Saturday for me that weekend Just had a look at the menu for that place bit steep for my wallet I'm afraid, tbh most places Ascot way are lol I looked at the new Forrester's and even they want £16 for a bloody burger. Any suggestions for any down to earth pubs about the local area?

Main problem is thinking of somewhere that doesn't have speed bumps that I will catch my exhaust on lol

As much as I'd love to sort something for this weekend I'm back on shift which is a pain as it's still warm at the moment. I've been looking at long range for casts etc although it might change but the weekend of the 20/21st looks decent. How does that weekend suit people?
