Good point about the weight on your shoulders from  the missus. Fortunately i converted all my bikes to single seaters which solved that problem!

The Ducati 996 is good for lazily cruising about, enjoying the v-twin torque etc, although not great around town.

Never thought about it like that but your right, the ZXR is a cut & shut! I had to reweld the seat subframe to the main frame and I think after also adding a new petrol tank & bodywork, only 30% of it is now the original bike!

EDIT: pic of ZXR after highside. Checkout the dent in the back wheel. Fortunately it all polished out with a bit of T-Cut....

You might have more luck trying to sell the old ones on driftworks

not on there mate, I have put them on ebay.

£1000 is a big lump of cash but looking at the price of RAYS 57 I do think it is a fair price but I am open to offers as looking to do the suspension and a few little jobs on the car

  3. fitted today, I like them as wanted a more aggressive look, happy with the front but will need a spacer on rear. I had 25mm spacers on the rear with my old wheels as they were 8.5 ,,,new wheels are 9.5 and I thought I would get away with out a spacer . the 25mm spacer is a little to much so will have to drop down to 15s.

These are in very good condition and very rare , not seen any more ? come with 245 x 45 x 18 tyres. tyres are ok and road legal.

    come with new wheel nuts.

these wheels have no cracks and run true, a very nice rare wheel and only changed them as wanted a more aggressive look.

wheels can be collected from Hereford or I will pack them in you want to arrange a pick up.

    looking £700

come and do a trail fit to see what they look like on your car, you are more than welcome.

I`ve been into bikes since I first had a FS1E to go to school on (and before then on the fields) and have always had at least one in the garage for the last 40+ years (except during a couple of divorces and the last house move).

    Now have this for warm sunny days blasting around the Lincolnshire countryside;

  6. i have been into bikes every since I was 16 , I have now given up due to a shoulder injury but still miss them. I am not into the new bikes but love the bikes from the late 70s and 80s ,, jap bikes.

I did pick a British bike a short time back for a little project ,,, my wife thought I was mad and said what do you want a old mans bike like that for.

she did change her mind when it was finished.

  7. just out of interest has any one used cheap coil overs on there car, cant help but look on ebay and see so many of them for silly prices..

I mean they are even cheaper than a standard parts,

if I wanted to sell my car and needed to change the struts,it would be a cheap answer ,,,,,, not that I am doing it.

its the same with clutch and pads and brakes.

I work in car parts myself and we only sell good quality parts, the amount of people say no I can get it for less off ebay and dont care about quality .

Engine bay is coming along nicely. Never been a fan of this rear spoiler, I know it’s common but for me it doesn’t flow with the car, and the rear is the best bit

Where have you been ordering parts from?

USA its the only place I can get parts from, but they do pop up in the UK if you keep your eyes open.
