  1. Hi @ZMANALEX, I’m really struggling finding anything concrete searching the web. I tried that first rather than bothering everyone on here as I don’t like to take up people’s time if I can help it. If you’ve got any contacts that I could speak with, I’d really appreciate it mate. Maybe if we could have an area of the forum where people could recommend garages that they’ve used successfully? That could be really helpful. Cheers, Rob
  2. Hi @ZMANALEX, I think it’s more the engine than the LPG. Whoever wants to do the repair can have the number of my LPG installer and he’ll go through everything in intricate detail, no probs. I just need to get in touch with someone who’s prepared to open up a VQ35DE. Thanks again for all your help. Cheers, Rob
  3. Thanks @Payco and @Azurez33, I’ll check those out :) Cheers Azurez33, yep it’s definitely a 3.5 V6, they started using that engine from around 2004 onwards on certain models until the car’s demise in 2007. Only the Autech 260 RS got the RB26, so was effectively a Skyline GT-R estate. The rest got either a 2L engine or the RB25 (which my wife’s Elgrand has got). I wonder if @ZMANALEX knows of any specialists up and down the country. Thanks again for all your help ~ I desperately need my ‘350z estate’ back up and running. Cheers!!!
  4. Hi all, I've got a major problem with my Nissan Stagea 3.5 V6 (sorry it's not a 350z, same engine though, so thought this was the best place). It's been converted to LPG by one of the best in the country, but that could be part of the problem. What happened was I started the engine on a mad hot day and lots of white smoke came out of the exhaust. Local garage reckons it's the stem seals but won't touch the car because they can't find any info on it. I told them it's a VQ35DE engine, same as a UK 350Z, but they still weren't interested. Does anyone know of a specialist that would be happy to take the job on? I'm based in Chesterfield, Derbyshire. I really appreciate any help at all if someone could give it Cheers, Rob
  5. Hi @Shunter8 Yeah, I'm on furlough too, so I can pop down to see you anytime. Would later on today be ok? If not, I'm fine to travel any day. If you can private message me your address that would be great. Thanks again for your generosity. Cheers, Rob
  6. Hi @Shunter8 I'd love to have your exhaust as I'm looking to upgrade mine on my stagea as it's unbelievably restrictive and makes hardly any noise at all. Yours would be a great upgrade! If you let me know when you want it picking up, that would be great. I'm in chesterfield so about 1hr 30 away from you. Cheers, Rob
  7. That sounds brilliant @Ian. What price do you have in mind? Thanks!
  8. Hi, it’s for my 2005 Stagea (based on same platform as 350z with same 3.5 V6). Nissan have gone all out with trying to restrict the sound from my car (booo!). I’ve got some resonated decat pipes to fit and also a JWT Popcharger, which should help things a little. So I’m after a 350z air intake for a bit more noise if anyone has one that they don’t want anymore. Bit of a long shot... maybe someone has an unloved centre exhaust section laying in their garage, too? Cheers!
  9. Hi guys... I've got a stagea with the VQ35DE, it's based on the same platform as the 350z. I want a bit more noise in the cabin. I've got a popcharger that I bought from another member on here that still needs fitting, which I've heard makes a great noise. I've still got the stock Nissan exhaust on, but wondered if getting decats would release a bit more V6 noise for me in the cabin. I'm not bothered for going down the route of a full custom exhaust. I know it's been covered a few times in different situations, but not with the standard exhaust, I think. I'm also fine with losing a touch of power / torque if the trade off is some great noise. So what are people's thoughts / opinions / experiences, please... would resonated be the better noise or non resonated? Thanks!
  10. Hi @ZMANALEX, Thanks for your suggestions! I’ve just had fitted the genuine Nismo thermostat and rad cap, but unfortunately my mechanic has had the car running in his garage and said the fans were still coming on. They weren’t on this morning when I parked the car close to where I work, but the last part of the journey is a long downhill stretch where I’m off the pedal mostly. Going home is a different matter... the last part before I get home is to sit in traffic for a while leading to a roundabout and then go up a steep hill to my house. I’m sure they’ll come on, but I’ll let you know. I guess we’re now in the realm of buying a new radiator, which the Skunk2 Alpha seems to fit the bill. The only thing I’m struggling with is the transmission oil cooler, as I’ve not got a clue which one, or size, to go for. Does it have to be branded, or is just a standard one OK? Thanks again for all your help!!!
  11. Hi @Bob94, did you ever decore your standard cats? If so, was it easy to do and how much better is the sound? Did you run into any problems and would you recommend it? Cheers, Rob.
  12. Just looked at your post, and yep, they’re expensive hahaha Good luck with the sale! Cheers, Rob
  13. They instantly sound expensive I’m trying to not spend very much on them as I’ve got so many other expenses happening at the minute (children, house etc.) Thanks for the reply, though!
  14. Hi @StevoD Do you know @bizz personally as he’s not posted anything since 2016 and he might not be on anymore? Cheers, Rob
