  1. hi all I'm having a long winded nightmare with my 2005 DE, 3 weeks ago dash rev gauge decided not to work and all warning lights started flashing, also wipers stopped working this slowly fixed itself but the starting and engine and traction warning lights have stayed on along with struggling to start. i took it the garage that reset the ECU and found that fault for the throttle body, after waiting 2 weeks for get a new OEM one and fitted, I'm back to a car that struggles to start and the 2 warning lights on. plus know when i let off throttle the car randomly holds at 1500 RPM for a second. any advise would be much appreciated as i don't really want to keep straining to car to start! thanks Tom
  2. Hi saw this on facebook wondered if any ones tried to do a similar design with a 350z? seen this cool looking 911 with a wrap livery. May be a nice way to make a car with bad paint eye catching!
  3. great video underside looks in quite good nic. nice testing also :). can i ask what phone holder you use to keep your phone in the lid space? I'm sick of mine been thrown around the cabin! what's planned next mod wise?
  4. Thanks for the recommendations and advice guys bumpers all on and fitted great! The body shop had a few issues with the under tray as the threads under the car were pretty warn due to the age of the car! but all in all the fitment is perfect! can easily see how long an aftermarket one would take to fit in comparison . i also had to disconnect the head light washers to save from drilling and cutting in to the new bumper. has this been an issue for anyone when it comes to Mot? i can easily just swap the bumper over if it is the case. gonna enjoy it for how it is before seeing if any other bits need doing like a OEM rear wing in the future. i don't want to put my old licence plate on as it looks so nice! does any one have any recommendations for plate locations and sizes i could go with. would love a flip out plate but think it might be bit to much work Many thanks
  5. thanks for the info trying to find part no 112966 but struggling to find any besides the clark motorsport ones. thanks for the link but prefer to buy off a site i can pay by PayPal. cheers
  6. Hi been trying to find a part number for the clips that hold the top of the front bumper in the engine bay as pictured below does any one know the part number as i i see a few different potential clips on eBay i have doubts it will be the same clips as the arch guards? many thanks
  7. sweet thanks Andy! ive test fitted the filler plate and engine skid pan and all seem fine apart from the corners of the bumper filler plate should these holes bolt to the bumper in white? or are these for attaching to the inside of the wheel arch? any ideas from any one would be helpful thanks again just trying to avoid any possible issues at a paint shop Cheers
  8. Thanks for the recommendations guys, brought one from Tarmac motor sportz! very happy with it! extremly well packaged! am i right to say an uk Nissan 350z badge will fit in the v3 bumpers badge space? they are the same size just incase the JDM badge is a different thickness ? is it worth buying any extra bumper clips incase the original ones break? also any recommendations for paint and body shops in the Birmingham/West Midlands area would be greatly recommended! Cheers
  9. Cheers guys new stock back box and centre resonator fitted the scorpion y pipe with no issues! Many thanks
  10. Hi key fob has been playing up over the passed few days. started needing multiple inputs before opening and now doesn't open or lock by fob. I've added a new battery and have tried the below. it flashes on number 3 but not 7. any ideas how i can fix this?? it sets the alarm off every time i open the door and have to scramble to start it imagine i cant get this fixed at a Nissan garage any more 1. Turn the ignition switch from Position 0 to ON 6 times within 10 seconds. 2. Then turn ignition switch to OFF position. Leave key in ignition switch. 3. After 2 seconds, the system will enter programming mode and will flash the warning lights twice. 4. Press and HOLD the unlock button on the Plip. 5. While pressing the unlock button, press the lock button 3 times. 6. Release the unlock button. 7. The warning lights will flash once to indicate successful programming. 8. Repeat procedure 4 to 7 for up to 4 plip key’s. 9. When completed turn ignition ON, and the warning lights will flash 2 times. 10. Remove key, and check all plip key’s for operation. any advise would be much appreciated! thanks
  11. Ace! yeah think i will go OEM for a bit if it gets dull i will save the Scorpion bits and look at getting a stainless back box down the road. i will get on eBay and see what i can find Much appreciate your help!
  12. Updated Baffles have gone in the exhaust so need to get a new back box and centre resonator. do any off you think i will need a new Y pipe to make an original exhaust and centre resonator fit? as the current y pip shown above has a resonator or silencer in it already thanks again
  13. Great that's narrowed down most of the potential issues! its weird it idles quite quietliy but anything over 3000 rpm is mega loud. will see what the exhaust guy says will prob go for a new standard back box or a silencer if its not to broken. thanks again guys
  14. Thanks for the suggestions! took some photos the cats look fine and standard? but the centre section has no resonator. but i don't think the standard 350z centre resonator would fit as it has a flang on the end and the scorpion back box doesn't. May take it to an exhaust shop to see if the baffles have gone. much appreciated!
  15. actually think the Scorpion System has its centre pipe built in to the exhaust! so will prob need a new back box and centre resonator! least its a easy fix any recommendations where to buy them? imagine it will be a ebay job? cheers
  16. are sweet thank you! if so might have a straight pipe instead of the OEM resonator/ silencer as well ! will check tomorrow glad i know what to look for now, much appreciated
  17. hmm would a factory back box fit the same as the scorpion one you think. as for decats I'm not sure i had it checked out at the garage today but they just said everything looks fine for a full stainless system . might jack the car up to see what i find tomorrow but not 100% sure what to look out for on a scorpion system apposed to a normal one would a scorpion decat be different to a standard? thanks for your comment
  18. Hi i brought my 350z with a scorpion 350z stainless steel exhaust system. sounds great but when i took it on a track day it exceeds to noise limits of 105 DB at 3 quarters throttle! any one have any advise? think i will need to get a complete new exhaust system or can i potentially buy a silencer or frankenstein original and Scorpion parts together ? or should i take it to a exhaust shop and get one added to to current system any advise will be helpful as i want to get back on track ASAP! cheers
  19. HAY long time after finding a new job I'm now in a position to look for these again can see these are no longer listed on the Tarmac website. imagine id have to get one from the states or Japan for a OEM one (Would prefer one with the nissan badge indent). i might try a few JDM import companies to see what they can find. but any other recommendations would be fab. cheers
  20. Thanks road rip i will probably go for 8.5's on the front with some 9.5s on the rear bit will give them a ring about potential tyre combos. if the rears are two stretched i all probably go for 8.5 wheels al round much appreciate your help
  21. Thats one very helpful video! seem well made for their prices i just need to choose the right style and sizes. any one have any recommendation for tyre sizes and wheel widths? much appreciated
  22. Hi recently brought a Rossa Red 350z getting a bit bored of the standard 350z 18 wheels was after some thoughts on Konig wheels. anyone run any off these before? https://www.wheelbasealloys.com/alloy-wheels/konig/hypergram/bronze/18-inch/nissan/350-z/z33 Would really like to run 18" Alloys with out spacers These are 0.5. wider and have a 5mm more offset. i do sprints and the odd track day so prefer the light weight look over dish size these look the part but seem quite cheap as far as brand aftermarket wheels go? Thanks
  23. Appreciate the advice! The oem part defiantly looks a lot better and will hold its value more in the future. just a shame they don't stock the Nismo rear bumper to go with it is it still possible to by the reflectors for the oem front bumper? or is the only option to go with led lights? quite a fan of the stock Nismo look think it will definitly age well. Many thanks for you responses
  24. Greetings folks After looking at mkiv supra projects and finding nothing but money pits i thinking of doing a 350z project instead as the value for money seems 10000 better. being doing some research on the Nismo V3 bumpers and it seems their are 2 options 1) Oem: i can see that a company called Tarmac sportz sells original OEM bumpers. was wondering if any one has gone for these? expensive but if he fitment is as good as standard i might not mind the cost. 2) Aftermarket: i can see a couple of companies (and Ebay stores) sell replica v3 bumpers.i can see a lot of fitment issues but i would get a paint and body shop to fit them properly anyway. this issue i have with the Replicas is that i think that some of them slope down too much where the Nissan badge goes. it could just be my eye sight, or the fact people run the bumpers with out the badging, or even the colour of the car? or is this what some of the replica bumpers do make the mouth of the car lower than the original Nismo bumper? open to opinions and any suggestions on Replica suppliers know these parts art exactly common any more Many thanks Tom
