  1. Appreciate the replies fellas. It was just as twitchy prior to the rear tyre change, so I don't think the change from a 275 to a 285 has had much of a detrimental impact. It has always been my intention to replace the 245s on the front with a 255 to restore some of the balance but I want to get a bit more use out of the Conti's before I bin them. Will report back post anti-roll bar upgrade and hunter alignment.
  2. I've had my Roadster GT a few months now and I'm going to get a hunter alignment done at The Ball Joint Centre in Liverpool, which I normally do with every car I buy and I was wondering if most of you just stick with the factory specs or does the Z benefit from a little tweaking for a fast road setup? It's a second car, tyre wear isn't a concern as I do low miles (no track use) and it will be garaged Nov - April but good handling is a priority. I must admit I do find it much more twitchy than I expected and that's coming from a C63, CL63, M6 Gran Coupe and another CL63 in that order, so I'm used to more ponies and torque but I don't remember any of them being as twitchy as the Z at what are low speeds. Car has done 35k, just had the rear diff bushes replaced due to the usual culprit leaking and I've got an uprated front anti-roll bar going on in the next couple of weeks before the alignment. Tyres: Front Conti Sport Contact 6 at 5mm. Rear Kumho KU39 Ecsta LE Sport, which were new about 600 miles ago when I took the opportunity to go up a size to a 285. Really hoping it's just a case of poor alignment as I love the Z - I'll obviously report back on what they find but I'm interested to hear any views on alignment specs before I get it done. Cheers
  3. Hi, Just wondering if you have the SuperPro 370Z front ARB in stock and what can you do on price? Cheers
  4. My £15 Navara mirror with wiring loom was fitted today and wired to the submarine light in the overhead panel, which switches on/off with the sidelights/headlights. Nice cheap upgrade on what is otherwise a nicely specified car.
  5. It's already on my list of possible but not necessary mods, especially now I have discovered I can lower the roof externally. Can't believe I enquired about the SmartTop for the Boxster, not realising at the time that the roof isn't fully electric but it does explain the lack of a reply. Doh
  6. Thanks again for the warm welcome - I'm so happy with the Z as it just ticks so many boxes and comes with a great standard specification compared to the Boxeter's I looked at. Particularly liking the ventilated seats, which feel colder than in my Infiniti and I'm sure I will appreciate the heated seats on those late summer evening blasts. I just discovered today and by accident that holding in the keyless button below the external door handle lowers the roof, which is just amazing if you're tall. You have to manually release the Boxster roof from inside before hitting the roof button, which is so 1960.....
  7. That's brilliant news and might just save me a few £££ on visits to the chiropractor.
  8. I need to look into ceramic coatings myself as my brother always has his new cars delivered direct to his detailer for ceramic coating but I rarely keep my cars long enough to justify the additional cost. Top speed axle back went on yesterday, sounds great but protrudes far too much, so I'll have to get that sorted asap as it looks so bad I can't bring myself to look at the back of the car. Some pics as promised earlier in the week:
  9. Thanks for getting back to me with the price and details of the wrap. Emailed a place local to me and still waiting for a price almost a week later...
  10. Looks great and it's exactly what I'm wanting to do on my Roadster to reduce some of the visual bulk of that big a#s. Can I ask how much it cost?
  11. Does anyone know if the foot rest is removable as I could really do with the extra leg room for my 6'3" frame and a bit more space for my size 12s? Seems to be some useful free space both above and behind the footrest, which I obviously wouldn't mind accessing as I wasn't built for the Roadster, although it didn't stop me buying it. :))
  12. Thanks guys for the very warm welcome and apologies for the lack of photos but I'll be detailing at the weekend, so I'll add some pics then. Pleased to see I'm not the only Roadster owner on here plus that's a lovely colour Wheels 370z. Mine is in a light grey (don't know the official name) and funnily enough it's almost a match for my Infiniti. Been a busy and expensive week so far: Interior lights x 3 swapped to LED with boot next. Gracenote database fully updated (spent three weeks after purchasing my Infiniti looking for an original copy of the Nissan software and it still works on the Gracenote website, despite Nissan having dropped it a few years back. Nav/Audio/Bluetooth firmware updated. Top Speed Axle Back ordered. 2 x Kumho ecsta Le Sport rear tyres being delivered tomorrow. Nissan rear parking sensor kit delivered. 2 x Z badges ordered to replace the front/rear Nissan badges. 4 x Silver T20 indicator bulbs. 2 x LED T20 reverse bulbs. 2 x Lunex D2S 6000k bulbs, which I've used with great results several times before, ordered to replace the 8 yo yellow factory items. And I vowed prior to collection that I wasn't going to spend anything beyond maintenance on this one but you know how it is....
  13. Hello all. Been tinkering with the idea of a 370Z Roadster as a second car to my Infiniti FX30d, which I love, and after looking at a couple of Boxeter's I found a low mileage Z GT Nav that ticked all the boxes and collected it yesterday. A 4 hour drive home on the hottest day of the year was just perfect for collecting a Roadster but boy does it need a new zaust. Now I know I'm not the first to recognise this but even I am shocked at how lame it is, so 24 hours later and I'm already looking at axle back replacements like the Top Speed but I want something that sounds sexy over something that will raise the dead. Already spent quite a bit of time on here, so I look forward to actually contributing now I've got me a new whip.
