Some exhaust kits i have looked at require this removing. Removing a "shield" to something sounds like it will end up being detrimental to the car in my mind. Am I correct to think this or not ?

I'm just up by the Humber bridge so Howden is only a quick blast away. Certainly up for it if the final date doesn't end up clashing with something the better half has planned ! . Seems the weekend after Easter is the favorite so far.

Thanks for the info mate. Unfortunately i have to admit to my complete ignorance when it comes to car electrics so would not know where to start disconnecting them?

May just have to if no other option. If you (or anyone) have an info on which fuse to remove that would be great.

Have scanned the owners manual and cant find them mentioned. Can they be turned of at all as I find them the most irritating thing on the planet !

A lot less as it happens and with lifetime maps but I agree with the sentiment. Silly price. Just wanted to share the fact no updates were planned shortly if anyone did want the Nissan maps.

On the "Audiophile" front, not sure how much better BOSE is supposed to be from a stock system but it certainly doesn't cover itself in glory IMHO. Thankfully the heavy rock played in mine doesn't really care. Ace of Spades is Ace Of Spades at the end of the day

Yea, not good considering how many roads have changed in nearly 3 years !. I am not a fan of "In car satnav" and wouldn't spec one given the choice. Just got to decide if £145 is good value for maps two years out of date
