  1. Cheers m8 I did look up PPF when u first said and it was not car related. It's got some protection film at the rear bottom side skirts to protect it from stone chips but it's clean and nothing has got underneath unlike the roof lid.
  2. It's really bugging me and that will look ghetto when the roof does come down in the spring. What is POT m8?
  3. My other car E46 330ci M sport vert 60mm drop on new style M3 wheels with rolled rear arches to house the 9.5 width.
  4. Thanks Mr : ) Did you or have you got that clear plastic protector sticker on your vert roof lid? as mine is all horrid underneath and Iam sure it does nothing i want to take it off .
  5. As some of you know I've had my 350z vert a month just wondering is it ok to take this plastic clear strip off where the roof seats as it's effecting my OCD lol with the dirt underneath and when it's roof Down weather it's gonna look weird like a horse shoe.
  6. I've got this one had 3 years works like new I highly recommend it .
  7. I break things when it comes to sensitive handling lol
  8. Thanks I did that earlier the app is really good and near perfect timed with the Speedo mine is 100% 10 mph faster. I can live with that just got to remember this when driving the BMW 330 sport vert lol. Only 40mph is 30 mph in the Zeddy : )

  10. The speedo in my zed convertible is in kph but has been converted to mph mechanically if that makes sence as it uses the same Speedo from factory but my car measures in mph . The thing is people pass me when Iam doing 60 "mph" in a 60 zone ive tryed doing 100 kph (60mph) using the Speedo but its to fast so I've downloaded a really good app that's confirmed my Speedo is 10 mph off so 60 is 50 and so on. I've confirmed this doing 40 in a 30 zone and the trafic calming sign said I was doing 30 mph. Any thoughts? wheels sizes and tyres are correct. Thanks Allen.
  11. Thanks everyone mine's sorted now it won't be coming down till spring.
  12. Thanks m8 it's no big deal I'l pay for it. I should of looked closer at the time of buying but dealer got the roof working properly as that was the main focus. I guess main dealer belts is the way to go or mechanic suppliers are just as good? Cheers : )
  13. I do have a £5000 limit 3 month warranty with up to £80 per hour labour. Can i claim for this? I've seen on the forum people have done there own belts but I'll get mechanic to do it.
  14. Happy with me 350z everything works as it should. Going to have the aux belts changed this week as a little nik in one of them. It's a nice Z all the optional extras tan/orange leather heated seats Xeon headlights. Been fitted was a nice multimedia Bluetooth dab + ect Kenwood stereo and a cobra full alarm immobilizer .44.000 miles in real nice condition.
  15. Yeah some people are saying 12 degs but it won't be coming down till may when it's 15 plus : )
  16. Roof fully working it's been up for 3 months and some of the fabric was snagging stopping the roof cycle finishing going down. It's all being lubed up as well. The trader deals in high end Porsche ect and super cars so the car has been at a high end garage for the fix. I'll make sure I'll get his number for the future. Roll on Thursday .
  17. Yeah I don't drop the bmw roof untill at least 15 degs as for me its about topping the tan up between holidays and summer lol . I'd be the same with the Z but when u test drive a convertible it's one of the things you check instinctively because it's half the reason of buying the car. I'll wait to hear back from garage hopefully tomorrow. Cheers.
  18. Thanks guys nice to be hear. Just what I thought about a grand I'd buy it at a coupe price. I have the Bmw for roof down days when spring comes so i am not bothered about using the roof at this point. It's a automatic as I have a automatic driving licence and the automatic in this model is harder to find and in white and 44.000 miles so it's hard to walk away from it as normally roof problems when buying a convertible is a no no.
  19. Hi Allen from Lincolnshire here. I've left a deposit on a white 350z convertible to pick up next week it has 44.000 miles on the clock 2005 and in lovely condition. One issue is the roof goes down but the rear roof lid doesn' it stays fully up. I've read about the cold weather being a issue with the fabric if the roof has been closed for months and this one has. I own a BMW E46 330 m sport convertible for 5 years never had a issue with the whole car or the roof also had a Z4 so not new to convertibles. I have gone through the boards and each roof issue seem to be different. The car is being looked at to be sorted and fixed before the sale by the trader. If the problems can not be sorted by them what sort of mark down on the car should would be fair. Many thanks Allen.
