  1. Sounds good. Well I’m Rosyth, we have Kirkcaldy and Glasgow way. So how about Somewhere central and a fair distance? Falkirk, the Kelpies? Place to park and grab some food too if you fancy it. The down side is I think it’s £3 for the visit/parking

    Open to other suggestions.

  2. I pulled up to a stop just outside the petrol station and then hard locked right to turn in, as I did, I heard this loud ‘twang’ like a metallic pinging Sound. I thought ‘WTF’. last for a second but car seems fine. Then the other day, I turned left from a hill start and heard this metallic rattle, almost like the sound a screwdriver would make when it’s fully turned ... that ratchet clicking.

The car car has had two new suspension arms last year.

Any ideas what what might be going on?

    Welcome along

even in standard trim, better looking than 99% of everything else on the roads

It’s such a rare sight on the road too. I’ve seen a couple of. 370’s but can only remember ever seeing these a number of years back. It’s turned a few heads already.

  4. Some good points. I have decided to get a local specialist garage to carry out the work instead. They’re a German specialist and I taken my Z4 there but they’ve said they have done 350s and 370s so, have experience with them. Plus, they’re cheaper than Nissan. It’s them that told me that the plugs needed done, Nissan missed it (surprised).

  5. The black plastic part (that goes against the window) is cracked but the mirror unit itself is fine. Can I replace just the bracket, or do I need to buy both of they don’t come separate?

    Cheers,

    John

  6. Yeh, I’d rather not try it myself; I wouldn’t be confident enough.

A local specialist garage quoted £170 and Nissan was £220. Nissan did agree to match their price though if I include it as part my service, and I’m looking to maintain all Nissan stamps.

I just wasn’t sure what would happen if I passed but on the plugs? Or would you encourage me to go ahead and just have them done?

  7. So, just bought my 2008 HR with 56k miles and a full Nissan history. It’s now due it’s next service, a P1, so oil and filter. They call me back to say it should have also had its plugs done at 54k. I’m not technical or overly knowledgeable in this area (I just love driving) :D  the car feels great and no stutters. He said it’s worth while getting done if I’m unsure of the history. Would you agree that it needs done?

    thanks.

Yasss more Scottish Z members ;)B)  Welcome my friend! I wouldn't worry about the mileage I've just ticked over 100K on my HR and it still pulls like a train. :welcome:

  9. Hi everyone.

I picked up my zed on Saturday from Bradford and had a great 240 mile drive back to fife. It’s an amazing car and has bucket loads of power. It’s totally stock, although, I’m maintaining its full Nissan history and have a service booked in this weekend. £400 (haggled down price) for an oil and filter with spark plug replacement (56k miles).

Im assuming that 56k miles isn’t huge for these motors and read somewhere that they should be good for around 200k miles given proper care?

so far, loving it. Sounds great stock too.
