  1. standard sizes fronts 225 45 18 and rears 245 45 18s on rays alloys. ZMAN I have mentioned previously on this thread i have had this carried out to no avail unfortunately. I am trying all the things people are suggesting with no resolution. Tyres, i have had previously with no issues - not that Driving beyond my capabilities - i dont drive any different to how i always have and crawling round a medium sized roundabout at 20mph or even slower and the rears lock up because the traction control kicks in, i challenge anyone to see if thats even possible in their Zed. 4 wheel alignment - done no difference. get someone to have a look at it - done yet admittedly not by someone who is has dealt with this issue on a 350z before. That is the question im asking now as i wouldn't know whom to ask. also if someone has had similar issues please let me know how you solved it
  2. I dont lift off mid corner, i lift off on a straight to reduce speed, glide into the corner and power out no acceleration beforehand so wouldn't ever expect the cars weight to shift so drastically that it throws it off so bad. I get this behaviour a lot lately on roundabouts going ever so slow. Had it investigated ,nothing found. What do i do? Cant stop driving it i need to work. I dont trust the cars ability anymore to grip so i ain't driving like a nutter as i dont wanna be involved in an accident. Just don't know where to look. Today i was doing about 20mph round a medium sized roundabout no foot on the gas just rolling round and the back stepped out and the rears locked up because of the traction control. Deffo not me
  3. I am happy with it....i have to say ive had a lot of fun with just the pops and bangs alone....makes traffic more interesting. I hear that HDev have recently made their dyno more conservative.....(probably more realistic) which will explain why i didnt miraculously start with 300hp on a DE
  4. Just had my 350z remapped at H Dev. Compared to other DE's on here i feel mine must be unwell which is crazy considering its only done 50k miles 2005 DE HKS hybrid filter HDev 8mm plenum spacer Japspeed HFCs Custom dual flow exhaust JWT Lightweight flywheel and clutch.
  5. After going through to that link i did call pro tuner back (greggush) who was really surprised to find out everyone else was doing them so cheap and i said if he cant match it ill have to go elsewhere....well im booked in at HDev now who actually could get me in faster so happy days
  6. Who we talking about here kyle?
  7. Booked in with hdev.....pro tuner couldnt believe how cheap everyone else was doing it apparently
  8. Is that 400 quid for the license and dyno time? As i just got quoted by pro tuner 585 plus £100 for license and that seems steep from what ive seen spouted about on here I tried to ring em and can never get through...have left messages too
  9. Whats the going rate for this these days?
  10. Yeah i presumed that would be it, mines forever telling me how my cats are not performing well when i first start up. if you disable that , will that further affect you passing an MOT as it was hard enough as it is
  11. I read somehwere that Haltech ECUs do wonders on this engine....need to read up more on them though before i buy one lol. This CEL for Post cat sensors - tell me more about this as i have a feeling i will want this for my HFCS if it does what i think it does
  12. Gotta wait ages for that lol, they are all so busy!! Do i take it you asked for yours to be tuned in this way or is that just the way they tune them??
  13. I sort of feel from what i have read....so please chime in if im wrong...i dont understand why you just dont go for max hp because so i hear max torque normally follows 1 to 2k below peak hp which would be midrange right on these engines??? Hmmm just speaking my mind right now lol
  14. Ok, but in that case what not just add more fueling up top too so that you get the best of both worlds more hp and more torque. Edit. Think ive just got it lol. So you have intentionally lost peak horsepower to fuel the midrange torque... which 350z you go the revup or hr
  15. So you lost power???? I dont know if i would be happy with that whats the "key" to determine what each of those lines represent? Isnt there a direct correlation between hp and torque. lose torque, lose horsepower, gain torque, gain horsepower? Now i know that this also depends on the RPMS that you are running and im guessing where "peak" Horsepower is developed in that rev range. Im trying to figure out how and what the Remap would have changed to decrease top horsepower and increase toque. I think this is down to moving where the engine makes peak power up the rev range, but the thing im missing is how that was done.
  16. I know this is digging up this thread a little, but i am curious about about the benefits of a remap. Now from the above i gather they can adjust the afr ratio throughout the whole rev range by way of that basic table. but with a "learning" ECU surely the standard ECU must do some rearranging to make the most of what is coming in right? I am curious if the stock ECU will make power on its own when it "learns", have people had a dyno before and after a remap, or does everyone base it off what they should of had from stock? I am not trying to avoid a remap here i am just curious as to what happens with the stock ecu when you apply all this stuff before a remap
  17. ive not jacked up the rear end as of yet but for some reason i could swear i saw a cover underneath the diff
  18. im gonna check this myself as those are easy enough to get too.....thing that winds me up about this car, is having to take off the underbody covers to get to the centre jacking points as only got a trolley jack and dont wanna ruin the sills
  19. ive had two different mechanics messing with the components around that area so i would have hoped one of them would of found something, one was for an mot just this week and i watched them yank at all the parts and inspect them and the other was for the full wheel tracking alignment. and as Keyser said i just find it a crazy for a 350z to step out at 40mph, plus i know in the past i have driven this car a lot harder without issue on the same roads as these roads are all in my town and i drive em all the time. Gonna need to find someone who knows what they might be looking for on a ZED near birmingham area.
  20. It's not me as a driver as ive had a tvr chimaera which is a much more aggressive beast with no driver aids and that thing never had a problem.... plus my issue here is I've never had a problem on the exact same roads with this car before and now they are occurring..... hence it has to be something else. Has traction control ever been known to malfunction in this car???
  21. Ok another update to this....had the tracking done still getting issues and its getting dangerous....what im feeling when whatever is that happens is a judder normally accompanied with a bit of a fishtail.....now when it happened just it was at dually speeds.....could this be anything related to the brakes??? Or abs system that causing a momentary lock on the wheels to cause the dynamics to go mad as weight gets shifted around??? I refuse to believe this is tyres
  22. Darn plastic thing was done up too tight and stripped the head off it so need a replacement. If anyone has one spare from a radiator change etc let me know, i need one asap, will obviously pay muchas gracias
  23. so basically, nothing to shout home about between a standard paper replacement vs a reusable high flow filter and less hassle i suppose as you havent got to clean them either. This explains why there isnt much of a rage about how much performance a particular air filter has added . well hopefully this should clear things up for others thinking the same thing
  24. Ok so now im following.....so another question in the mix then whilst we are at it,......foam style drop in air filter like pipercross vs a drop in k&n filter.....any benefits of either?performance wise, longevity etc
  25. thanks for the quick reply, so from what i gather, a drop in high flow filter is better than the induction kits, but the high flow panel filters offer nothing but sound over stock paper filters? is this right?
