Hi fellow Z lovers,
After owning this beautiful car for over 5 years and actually purchased it from a trader from this forum, its time to make a change for my family and so, with great sorrow i am listing my 2007, GT spec, Rev Up, Dragon Silver edition with Full Service History since its very first steps. 7 Nissan Dealership stamps covering 65,5k miles and every service after that has been with Nissan specialist garages. Car has had 4 owners over its life (that includes me). Most recent upgrades (Within the last 12 months) are:
- Upgraded Brakes & Discs (Stoptech's slotted & drilled discs and Stoptech Sports Brake Pads worth over £600), MOTUL RBF 600 racing brake fluid to accomodate them
- Invidia Gemini Cat-Back Exhaust System with Tips : Rolled Titanium (worth over £1050).
- Alloys dipped in anthracite giving a truly eye pleasing contrast to the Dragon Silver paint job.
- other small additionals like the usual radio antenna upgrade and air and oil filters.
- car has been serviced on average every 7000 miles which has been too often to be honest
Interior is pristine. Nothing to write about engine as its never caused me issues and drives like a dream since i've had it. On suspension i only exchanged the banana arms 2 years ago and upgraded it to Torqens with the poly bushings as this is a common issue with the 350z. Tyres are new and have loads of life left- Goodyear Eagle F1 SuperSport on the Front and Falken XL ZE914 on the rear. Only Small scuff marks on the right side of the front bumper as you can see in the photo as well as the alloys but nothing that can't be fixed with a simple sanding and re-painting if needed although ive never done it as its not visible to the naked eye. This is GT spec so the highest one with cruise control, bluetooth, BOSE sound system and heated electric seats. Next MOT due 03/02/2022, Full service history.

HI Guys,
Was cleaning the interior of my car getting it ready for a sale as im upgrading and to my surprise the next morning i turned it on, the ESP, Traction and ABS lights are on the dashboard.
I've topped up my brake fluid to MAX (a little over even) and it didnt fix the issue.
Any idea what could've happened? Its weird it happened just when i was cleaning the car, i dont know if there was a shortcircuit somewhere from the spray or something?
Any ideas please welcome

HFC do add appeal to the noise and if you're due a remap, it's a definite yes (gains and the true VQ engine note).
You in North London?
im South East London but wouldn't mind driving up to hear if you're proposing Not planning on re-mapping with just a catback exhaust change, although would do if i got the HFC and a new intake

I've got the gemini paired with Torqen HFCs and I find the sound perfect for me personally. It's not overly loud that it's antisocial, or deafening when you're cruising but it has a lovely roar to it when you put your foot down.
Whereabouts are you based?
Hey Jack - appreciate your response. Im based in London :S Have you ever heard the gemini without a HFC i.e stock ? Is there a major difference?
-
Hey guys,
I've just purchased an Invidia Gemini cat back exhaust from Torqen (Thx @Adrian@TORQEN) and just wanted to understand the difference in sound & performance if i add a HFC?
Based on your experiences, would you get the HFC ? I've been looking for videos for the Gemini w/o HFC installed and cant really find anything, most have HFC installed. Really want to know the difference in sound between having a HFC and not.
Thanks for your help

Martin, you don't need the bushes if you're getting new arms, unless you want to use poly bushes / uprated. Arms are sufficient in your case.
Thanks Adrian you have been a major help. Will be ordering two new arms from you this week !

Do you have any indication of when the banana arms were last changed? If only a few years old I would just change the bushes and see how you get on. Should get new poly bushes for well under £100 and you'l most likely never have to change them again. Worse case if the ball joint is knackered you can put the poly bushes into a moog/ dorman arm
I have full service history with all invoices and reciepts and it doesnt seem they have ever been changed - i think im going to just put my mind at ease and order new arms and bushes and have it all done!

Just to close this topic: The problem was the DS banana arm dropping on its bushing.
Thanks to all for the help!
-
ok so sanity check: i went to see the arms again and here they are:
PS:
DS:
Only the DS arm has dropped on the bushing. Would it be worth purchasing polyeutherane bushings and pressing them onto the existing arms first? And if the DS ball joint is gone, then i guess i have to purchase 2 new arms? (@mdmetal - as you mentioned its not a good idea to have 2 different arms on the car)
-
So do you guys i think i should first try and just replace the bushings on the banana arm? - im not sure what the balljoint condition is :S
Or should i replace both the bushings and the banana arms on both sides?
Thanks -

Hi buddy,
For clarity have a quick look o this thread:
If you want to replace just the bushes on the banana arms, these are the ones required, always in stock:
If you need to replace the complete arm, you have a choice between Dorman and Moog, see here:
https://www.torqen.uk/53-arms-links
Thanks so much, exactly what i was looking for!

Hi All,
Had my car on the ramp and as you can i my arm has fallen off its bushing on the right side. Help i need is picking the right components to order:
I want to replace the right side CR and on the left side just that drop links, am i correct in thinking i only need to order these parts?
1) Banana Arm - Tarmac or Moog? any advice appreciated
Thanks for the help

Hi All,
I've recently got an unusual squeeking and knocking noise in my 2007 350z:
Symptoms:
1. Squeeking when standing and turning wheel
2. Squeeking and a low volume knock at low speeds hitting bumps (only at the front)
3. There is also a weird knocking noise coming from behind the pedals when approaching a stop to 0kmh (when braking). It happens when im at about 20kmh -> 0kmh and braking softly. It isn't a squeek like would be if brakes were wearing out, but as if someone knocking with a hammer on the pedals (but there is no opposing force so braking feels normal and smooth) . Not sure if its linked with the squeeks from the suspension?
I think its my compression arm and has fallen of its ball joint and will be taking it to check up ASAP. Any other ideas as to what the problem could be?
Thanks for the help,
