  1. Sooo.. I'd like to say thank you very much to everyone that came along today, even the guy that turned up halfway through and tagged along lol

It was my 1st time organising anything like this and hope you all enjoyed, it was abit of a struggle on the 1st stint in longridge but we soon met up again..

Unfortunately the few people that had to leave early after the food I think missed out on the best stint.. we got a good clear run for a while and some of the best veiws of the day...

Really good to meet you all, it was nice day out, I might try and get another meet up after Xmas if your all up for it again...

    Here are some pics.....

  2. Wow.. it really is scary seeing this kind of thing and yet I can't wait to go back..

I was there in August and 2 days after I left there were a 10 car pile up at the bottom of the foxhole on a Sunday tourist day so wildly busy, I think 4 people were airlifted away.

A part of me would like it to be safer with more marshals and things but that would also make it more expensive and take away some of the exhilaration, and possibly the name of the world's most dangerous race track.. glad nobody was killed in such a bad situation

True ^ I did a 1600 mile euro trip in mine in July and planning another next year. Never even gave a thought to weather we'd make it back.

Sames... i bought mine, a few months later set off to the nurburgring for 10 days with 95k on the clock, did 16 hard laps of the ring, a hard 30min session on spa, and drove round Germany on day trips out, in all I clocked up 2000 miles in 12 days, about 200 of which were racing the z to the top revs.

Next year I'm planning on going to the ring again only for 3 days this time, but then down over the alps through Switzerland into Italy to have a go on mugello hopefully (if not then Monza or imola will have to do) then to south of France, then back home, I'll be well over 100k when the time comes and I still belive the beast will handle it no problem...  (fingers crossed)

  4. Alright guys, there's been plenty of interest on here and FB so i think there will be about 10 of us roughly...

The plan is to meet up at mitton hall hotel BB7 9PQ

We'll be setting off at 10 am, I'll be at the hotel from 9.30,

I'm thinking of stopping at a nice country pub for a sandwich and drink if everybody is up for it at about 11.30?? I'll ask everyone's opinions in the morning when were all together.

After the food, if got 1 or 2 routes in mind but I'll get idea on what people want to do, and how long we wanna stay out for and I'll choose a route accordingly.

So I'll see you all on Sunday morning, make sure you all have fuel  although we do pass a shell garage on the route, it could be a little awkward us all stopping but somthing can be sorted if needed

If people that are definatly coming put your name in a list so i know exactly how many are coming and we don't set off leaving anyone behind that might be running abit late.

Also if you put your name down on here don't put it on the FB page or you will be counted twice :teeth:

  5. Been out today on the route I have planned for us on the 19th.. were out for nearly 2 hours but didn't really stop for coffee or photos like we will be doing.. got this pic though at one of our destinations...

As for time and location.. I'm thinking meet at 9ish and set off at half past, I'll post up a location and postcode on here and the Facebook page mid week just deciding on a good place

Obviously Rob, the speedo gauge is faulty as its showing 77mph.

Its a great milestone. The only downside is the car is now worth half what it was last week :stir:

Haha, that's literally the 1st thing that crossed my mind when it passed the big 100.. I thought no one will wana buy this now, guess I'll just have to keep it :) ... come on 200k

  7. Snap... mine went over last week, I were on motorway watching the last 3 miles till it ticked over, i had to get a pic... I obviously used my 3rd hand to take the pic because you always have 2 hands on wheel lol

    3. slates (except 11th/12th Nov)

    Alright guys,

I'm thinking maybe try and book ourselves in for the 4/5 October??? Or 19th November???

can everyone attend the above dates??

Let me know below, so everyone knows who and how many will be coming..

    Cheers

  9. Numbers are creeping up already.. hopefully we can get a good turn out like the last one Spatt organised.

Heres a rough route guide.. I was thinking on stopping 3 or 4 times at different points along the route for pics, then either a quick snack stop or pub lunch depending on what people are feeling on the day..

    https://goo.gl/maps/SFTMCjLiP4S2

the route is about 2 hours of driving plus stops but can be altered at any point on the day to make it longer or shorter again depending on how long people want to be out for..

As for dates I'm thinking any weekend day from now till end of November, so...

    21/22, 28/29 of October

    or

    4/5, 11/12, 18/19, 25/26 of November

I think if you post the dates you can't do we'll find a day we all can do..

Let's get some names on the list

  10. Alright guys, I've seen a couple of Zeds around clitheroe and skipton area recently and I was wondering if people wanted a little meet and drive out round this area?? There's loads of really good roads in all directions, so the only question is...

How long do you wanna be out driving for... :teeth:

Also there's some brilliant picture places, perfect for next year's calender competition.

Some routes I were thinking of are, clitheroe to chipping.. to longridge.. to hurst green (back near clitheroe on a different road) stop by at stonyhurst college for some awesome pics.. up to pendle hill (again brilliant pic area) then probably up the a59 to the cross keys or further if people at up for it. So plenty of driving and pics to end the year.

Post below if your intrested, was thinking maybe end of October or start of November, what do you think??

  11. Alright guys I know there's loads of threads out there for brake discs but I've got a budget of 3 to 5 hundred and would like a full set of slotted discs to go with my ebc yellowstuff pads.

Iv seen seen these rts ones on tarmac sportz

    https://www.tarmacsportz.co.uk/rts-performance-350z-02-08-front-brake-discs.html

was wondering people's opinions?? I do maybe 3 or 4 trackdays a year, and only do say 10 to 15min sessions at a time before a cooldown.

Have also seen ebc and mtec discs in my budget was do you guys think??

Thanks for any info you guys have... iv never bought fancy discs before so i have very little knowledge.

    Cheers

  12. I had the same thing when I changed my belts with gates belts. Fine for a few weeks then started to squeal, just tighten the belt u up a little bit more. It's easy to do, there's vids on YouTube. Just slacked the 14mm pulley bolts and tight the 12mm tensioner bolt underneath, til take you 5mins to do. Tighten ntill it stops squeaking.. as in tight up 2 to 4 turns on the tensioner bolt and see what's its like for a couple of days and tighten more if necessary. I was the same wondering about tension when fitting mine. I did it to 90 deg turn of the belt the had to tighten up a few weeks later. Don't worry about it
