I have a Vauxhall insignia cdti as my daily drive and I am more than happy with it I had a tuning chip added for extra mpg. It is comfy and practical also.

We had it over Peterborough a few months ago, people complained but think security is more important. They are only allowed when authorised. The one over Peterborough was to do with the Russians I believe.

I did buy a cheap £20 camera from tesco at 1st, pic was suppose to be 1080p but it was shocking. The I bought a sj4000 camera from Amazon, it's a replica of a go pro hero 3 I believe and it is great and only £45 pic quality is good and sound quality is good also. I know it's not a dash cam as such but a nice cheap alternative if on a budget.

I think that's why the 83600 number for checking stuff out as it does give info on wether a car is written off and stuff like that.
