  1. Lovely looking Z, in the fastest colour too Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Great Bookham if we're being technical haha. Yes I know Bocketts very well, I used to work weekends there back in the day when I was at school. Great day out for little ones! Bless him. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. How low is she sitting? and are you running Rota Drifts? Are you local around that way? 17mm front and 14mm rear. And no they are 19†VarrsToen ES2 wheels 10.5J rear, 9.5J front Localish yeah! I work in New Malden so you'll probably see me around if your local too, I've got family in Ewell so often around that general area. I live in Bookham, close to Leatherhead if you know it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Ah nice one! Hey Fiddy Zed🙋🼠Thankyou, she's on tein springs. Her larger than life wheels make her stance pretty attractive even if I say so myself🙈😎
  5. + 2 on Admiral. I'm 21 years old and I insured my Zed for the first time last month. It was £970 fully comp all mods declared. I have 4 years driving experience and 1 years NCB. I found that comparison sites were coming up much more expensive some showing admiral at £1,600. I rang up elephant & admiral direct and they came back both under £1K. I went with elephant but all my paperwork arrived in the post was from admiral -they are all part of the same company I believe. I also added my father which dropped it down a few hundred and believe it or not my 22 year old sister who brought the policy down by £80 with her on! How many miles you intend to do also has an impact, I've got 9,000 miles on mine but if you put it down to 4-5,000 it decreases a fair amount, depends how much you intend on using it. I live in a pretty good postcode which I think helped a fair amount. Best of luck! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Was coming home from work and first car I pull behind of, is a silver 53 plate 350z. Was at Shannon's corner by Krispy Kreme roundabout. Both signalled to say hi 👋🼠Love the friendliness of Zed owners 😊
  7. Thanks lads, I think I'm swaying with one of the Apple play touch screen ones. Not keen on the fold out ones but I can see how it would be practical. No need for AUX or even USB to be fair just need Bluetooth, I do like having a volume knob but then again the controls on the steering wheel play that role for me Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Hey Guys, Swaying towards the touch screen ones but still undecided -if the touch screen fails it's a bit of a bummer 😂thoughts? • Up to £250 budget • Double din -although tempted to go single and have a cubby for storage ? • Compatible with iPhone 6s • Compatible with the steering wheel controls • Sleek fitting and not out of place -as if it was fitted with it originally rather than it being an aftermarket piece Photos of your head unit + suggestions Cheers guys 🤓 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Welcome Simon, Lovely Zed, always loved the Zed in blue! What wrap are you doing? Hope you don't mind me asking, how did you get those shots so perfect? Presume some photoshop involved to focus on just the Zed ? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Hmmm decision time🤔 Thankyou for all suggestions/advice -much appreciated. Perhaps this is one thing that doesn't need splashing on. More in the pocket for other partsðŸ‘🼠Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Hi Guys, Had the Zed in the garage yesterday and was able to take a quick look underneath, immediately obvious the "W" brace needs replacing, it could probably last a while longer, maybe even a wire brush and hammerite jobby at a push (see attached photo of current brace) ..but I've had a quick search on eBay and you can pick up a brand new Ultra racing brace for £139 delivered, the Zeds booked in the garage in a couple weeks anyway and will be on ramps so will be easy/cheap enough labour wise to take off the old and bolt on the new -well that's what I thought... Done some reading and spoken to ZMANALEX and the UR braces stick out more than OEM, which could prove a problem.. she's sat on tein lowering springs so is pretty low, but is she too low for a UR brace? Don't want every speed bump being a PITA. Anybody have a UR brace with a low Zed? Trying to show the clearance in the above photos - not the easiest to take, not the best shots 😬 Side skirts do make her look lower than she is alsoâ˜ºï¸ Any experience/advice of the braces will be greatly appreciated. 12. Please could you PM me also 😎 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Thanks Michael, if not servicing il definitely enquire about any work I want doing. Sounds like she would be in safe hands there. Cheers 😊 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Thanks for all the advice and experiences. Will probably give Aldershot Nissan a ring and see what's what. I drive to Aldershot on a weekly basis so works well with my schedule. Abbeymotorsport -thanks Mark, read and heard many, many great things will keep you in mind perhaps for non-servicing bookingsðŸ‘🼠Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Thanks Ebized, I've actually got family in Fleet so will look into that one. Cheers Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. £15 is £15... It's nothing to turn your nose up at. Up here you could get a couple rounds for that, though I guess darn south you'd be lucky to get half a shandy. And for those of us (un)lucky enough to be in the higher tax bracket, that £15 becomes £25... It's not like it's harder to pay annually, if anything it's easier, why throw away money for nothing unless you have some desperate need or better use for that £300? I believe that is correct, but if you've already bought it, does that mean there is no tax on the vehicle now? Or is it currently SORN? SORN Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Ah, never presume my friend. I'm comfortable this year to pay it before I get paid again but who knows what my situation might be in future years. Just covering my back really for the future, furthermore if I were to start my tax now I believe (but don't quote me on this!) that I'd end up paying the entire of January regardless of the fact I'm only starting it from the 18th. Looks as though there's not much discount for paying it upfront (for a pre 2006 anyway) and for £15 your quite right, it's barely worth paying it annually if your primarily doing it for the discount. I just prefer to pay things annually than have continuous monthly outgoings throughout the year, just my preference really, any pennies it saves me are a welcomed added bonus! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Don't think the vast majority of prospective buyers care too much about it but I think it is just a bonus if it does have FNSH. A full dated record from the manufacturer on the system of what's been done can't be a bad thing 😊 I know I could save some pennies but it's just convenience, would rather just carry on the servicing with them. And hopefully block book in a plan so it's all done and paid forðŸ‘🼠I have a local (10 min drive) garage to me who has done all my servicing on my daily at fairly good rates but I feel I'd be cutting the Zed short if I was to stop the existing track record. Just my ideal preference really, we shall see 😊 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Thanks buddy, it's only done 50K miles. I know Nissan will probably rip me a new one but it is attractive for prospective buyers when I come to sell her on in a couple years. I'm only 15/20 mins from both so it's pretty convenient for me as well 😂 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Normally wouldn't go to main dealer but my Zed currently has full Nissan service history (believe it or not) so ideally I would like to keep that going, was thinking either Epsom Nissan or Guildford Nissan. Anybody any experience with either of them? Thanks in advance 😎 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Willsy and Coldel, good ideal but I just like to pay everything off as much as humanly possible, so no need to worry about it again for a while. If I could pay 2 years upfront I probably would. I'm not about that monthly game Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. All in good time Olly, all in good time 🤓 In other words, will be starting it from 1st of next month, so when it comes to renewal in future years I will have been paid again after Christmas ready to fork out for the insurance and tax all in one go ðŸ‘🼠Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. I agree but when I was younger, so much younger, I had to go cheap. Although I couldn't afford a Zed at 21. I could hardly afford the clapped out Capri I had. Times were different then. Worked my bum off and been saving for a very long time to get my Zed 😠Every penny I have is money I've earned. Will probably go with Admiral, £1500 fully comp. not too bad considering I'm 21. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I know we discuss this on the forum time and time again but I can't help but think that is extremely high. When I got my first Z, I was also 21, I never paid more than 850 with admiral or eleplant. Do you live in a city centre? Or anywhere near Luton Hmm premiums have probably increased, but that does seem a jump! Nope, I live in a village in leafy Surrey 😂 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Yeah Black box is a no go, basically downgrades the car to a 1.2. I would consider it if it was considerably cheaper but for the sake of a couple hundred, I'd rather pay a bit more than have the hassle of a black box. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
