  1. Clicking coming from the back of the engine in time with engine revs, PSSHTTT of air as I blip the throttle from around the same place. Leaking exhaust? Fuel damper? Kinda worried. Help!
  2. Removing the heat shield didn't fix the noise. Picked the car up after a third attempt to fix the issue, this time they thought it was stones on sitting on the cross-member Needless to say, it didn't fix it. I wouldn't mind them telling me it's all in my head, but 2 different mechanics now have been out with me and confirmed they can hear it!!
  3. The ones on the cats (which in case anyone's interested, can't be purchased separately). The rear shield seems solid to me, no movement or obvious corrosion. Went back to Nissan this evening and took one of the mechanics out. He could hear the noise, which is something. Booked in again next week. I'm not particularly hopeful. If anyone knows of anyone in Devon who knows the first thing about 350's I'd love to hear it.
  4. It's only really audible once the car has fully warmed up. I'm starting to even second guess myself now. Odd car noises are enough to drive a man insane.
  5. Heatshield removed, and the noise remains. Brilliant. Thanks Nissan.
  6. I'm tempted by some HFCs but I can't be dealing with engine management lights coming on.
  7. I'll consider removing them. Can they be purchased separately though? Expensive? I'm not actually sure what's wrong with them, they didn't say. Corroded I guess.
  8. I'm waiting for them to tell me they're all part of the cat or that I need to replace the whole exhaust system and have a replacement floorplan welded in
  9. About 1500rpm I can hear a bit of a rattle from underneath when the windows are open and driving alongside a wall. Nissan said it was the heat-shield, which they adjusted but said it will need replacing if the noise comes back. which it did a few days later. Is replacement the best option? Car has stock cats and an Invidia system. What sort of price should I expect? Thanks chaps
  10. I don't suppose anyone ever found a fix for this? My Nexus 5 disconnects after about 10 seconds.
  11. If anyone's in the Exeter area, Autocare Services are great guys, they did my Zed.
  12. Would I be correct in saying the black inserts around the door handle/vents are a pain in the ass to remove and the door panel needs to come off?
  13. There are few bits on the 350, inside and out I'd like to tidy up/replace. Anyone got any advice/places to buy? 1. Door rubber/water scraper (top of the door, below the glass, outside) - Nissan quoted £92!! 2. Interior brushed aluminium handle insert - Mine is scratched, some on eBay US for about £40 but unsure if they're ok to swap sides 3. Interior door, buttons surrounds - The usual scratched Zed door trim, should be able to rub down and spray 4. Interior central cubby clip - Scratched to buggery, is this available to buy separately? and a top tip you might not be aware of, scratches on the textured black dash plastic can be improved with a black wax crayon.
  14. I want to take the car to my trusted independant to get this done, anything I need to tell them regarding Nissan's comments that the inner and outer hubs are clicking? Is it the same process but on both ends of the driveshaft? Also, why do Nissan replace the bolts? Cheers
  15. Took my Zed into Nissan, they quoted £180 which seems ridiculous. This included replacing various bolts, why is this required? They mentioned clicking from inner *and* outer hub, confused.
