  1. No way £7k! It's a HR for crying out loud!

    I'd say closer around £9500 - £10,000 I would have thought.

Mileage is irrelevant to some degree as long as the car has been well looked after and serviced correctly.

Dips (The Bounty Bar Kid) recently sold his HR to a dealer for £9750 and they're now selling it for in excess of £12k!

So, if that sold privately for £9750 how do you value the car described above at £9500-£10k? I may be low in my estimate (just what I value it at), but I think you are high with yours. Hopefully gives the fella a better idea though :)

  2. Ha ha unlucky Bradders. Don't get my point wrong, I'd buy low mileage (very low by most people's standards) every time and pay a bit extra... not that it is a guarantee of longevity in itself mind you...

  3. Have a look in the Zeds for Sale section here and there are some good ones on Auto Trader and Pistonheads at the moment. Having just bought myself this year, I think you'll do well to get a sub 50k mile car with you budget, so as has been said above don't get too hung up on mileage and look at condition.

    Good luck!

  4. Front Fogs????? No front fogs on the 350Z :)

I would guess they meant front reflectors?? Although not sure why they would need to be altered.

Seems like i may just have to wait ans see..To be fair the higher tax wouldnt stop me getting it. Would just be good to know.

Is there anyone i can phone to find out for definite?

  5. I'm 80% certain it is the registered in UK, rather than manufactured, date. I think there are some exceptions, but it has to do with being manufactured prior to 2001 and what the CO2 emissions were recorded at on regsitration... If I recall correctly from by imported Impreza days... Pretty sure you are in the high tax bracket of post 2006 cars.

Try this if you have the reg number: https://www.gov.uk/check-vehicle-tax (EDIT: this no longer tells you how much - sure it used to)

  6. My car is 12 years old and has no rust. It was under sealed at some stage, which may have helped. I use my car all year, so expect some rust eventually. It is just a result of the climate we have and a maintenance expense to eventually address.

12 years and no sign is good going in my opinion though. Like any car, depends how it has been maintained.

  7. Thats steep money for what is essentially a body-kitted automatic import!

An original Nismo one of only 1700 or so made, worth every penny.

Being an auto or import is completely irrelevant because of the above.

Being modified hurts a collectors car. Needs putting right. Also, limited edition doesn't make a collector. I might be wrong but I don't see this in the same league as a TME Evo, 22B, RS500, etc...

  8. Agreed, impossible to diagnose over the Internet and you've listed all the obvious possible solutions - fuel pump would have been my first bet. It is a fault though and not a characteristic. I have a remapped 350Z DE (standard except the exhaust) and it doesn't behave like that.

EDIT: assuming you are running it on decent fuel as well.

  9. Nor me. Any pics of the car mdunbar ?

Be rude not to: https://drive.google...M193ZVZmUW9NdEE - standard car with JWT pop filter, high flow cats and Invidia exhaust.

Since buying it I have (must get new photos):

    Had a major service

    Changed the rear brake pads

    Fitted a stubby aerial

Changed the Nissan badges to JDM/Zed badging

    Had the car remapped

    Fitted a private plate

I need new brake pads and discs in the Spring. Car was at 15,900 miles when I bought it but I am using it daily so now at 16,500. It has been very well cared for but needs to be used. I don't do loads of miles but at least it isn't just sitting in someones garage any more.

  10. I would just take it out and fit a Tom Tom/Garmin or use your phone. This is the problem with built in tech in cars, it dates very quickly (Nokia 3210 integration).

I find the extra storage space more use than the sat nav option.
