Nice car mate. Iv just replaced the diff bushing on mine with whiteline bushes. Good luck
how much of a pain is the diff bush to do?
that wrap looks cheap ...can see the bubbles and cuts,easier to respray yourself using some cans ... look at others that did this as it is quite simple
the center console needs redoing loads wrong with it but doing a tablet install on it next month this was just to see how the colours went in the car so i agree the wrap does look cheap and shoddy lol

so just got my first zed and im in love but as this project is something ive wanted to do for over a year i have plans to change it into something else. zeditus is truly addictive i had even brought things before the car was found.
right so the base of this project is the car, after loads of reading and looking about this and other forums i set my self a 5k budget for a early zed. Not alot of money but it is a project car after all so aslong as it was mechanically sound and body panels straight i wasnt to fussed about paint quality,
so i found a local ish car in my budget and went to view. car had done 90k full service history and had been looked after by cs for last few years so it looked promising. Gm gray/silver tan interior (not to my liking but its going anyway) just had a service and looks to be in reasonable nick
it drove well and ticked most of my boxes so i done the worse thing you can do when buying a car and brought my first one i seen
now at 4900 it isnt without its fault and a few jobs could be bigish things but im mechanically minded and a trained engineer so i can fix most things myself
problems;
it has a bad case of bonnet paint flake on the front end
and a few paint bubbles starting to appear around the arches
tracking is out on front wheels
needs new brake pads on front) (done) ebc yellow stuff pads from cs
clutch is getting heavy but no slip just yet ( so new one in new year)
and this is the big one rear diff bush is leaking and needs to be replaced
also the underside is corroding away (looks pretty bad but need to get on a ramp to asses what needs attention asap and what is just cosmetic
right so thats the car now onto the planned mods list
exterior;
first im going to wrap the car (myself) in a red carbon effect
gt style front lip (carbon wrapped in black carbon)
nismo v1 side skirts (in cf wrap black)
ts style rear diffuser
nismo rear spats (in cf wrap black)
rt gtrz rear wing
engine:
change exhuast front the japspeed k2 cat back to a k4(hks rep) decats and maybe a new manifold
jwt pop charger
plenum spacer
once all done a trip to abby for a uprev
interior;
more wrapping here
center dash in red (done)
door switch panels in red (done)
rear strut bar zed panel in red with cf z(done)
new steering wheel
new gear stick and hand brake gaiters
new gear knob and handbrake lever
tablet install in nav hole
new double din head unit
bucket seats omp trs (done)
buddy club rails.(Done) thanks Vlad for these saved me £150
harness bar ( gc fabrications seems only option atm)
omp 4 point harnesses
ill add more pictures and updates as i complete hoping to be ready for Easter ready for show season to start

hi all
This is my first post after ive been reading through the forums for a few months now. ive been thinking about getting a zed for about a year now and after reading up every last bit of information on here (i have a lot of spare time on my hands and i needed it), planned all the mods i would like to do and seen some events i would like to attend next year i think im finally going to bite the bullet and get a car
truthfully ive been waiting for the finances to come in and now there at the right level for me im like a kid at xmas.
so im going to ask my first (of many most probably) bit of advise
what things should i look out for when going on the test drive of the z
im looking at older DE 03-04 models with highish mileage
from what i have read the only thing that should be an issue is the clutch starting to go if they haven't changed it from new, any other niggles ?
you all seem to know so much about these cars that i feel you'd look after a new guy
thanks
james
so i got one heres the build thread ive started lots of pics
